Too bad it (the nokia) has a crap ui. That was the reason I got rid of it.
I wouldn't say the tablet interface is crap, it's quirky IMHO (see this interesting analysis and comparison with the newton:
http://www.cs.gmu.edu/~sean/stuff/n800/). But that doesn't matter, you can build your own distro, from scratch, use Nokias or Angstrom as a base, and use any UI you want (E17, GPE, QT - the latter exists)
anyway, I didn't mean the n800 OS & UI, I meant the hardware. Given that PP turned out to be vapourware and a wishlist, the 810 fulfils most of it, just needs a mini keyboard (logitech dinovo mini) and use bluetooth to external 3G or GPRS or EDGE phone! The PP would have needed a huge amount of effort to make it useful when the Nokia has a working kernel, drivers for hardware and X11!
