I've got the FreeRunner.  Way less read for prime time, but more open.  Koolu had started developing android for the freerunner, but dropped it.  There are a couple of guys attempting to pick it up, and find an open way of allowing 3rd party apps to be installed.

Ive got an upgrade coming in Feb.  If Android or WebOS are available then for ATT I'll take a look.

PS: And I remember.  Using some of your themeing stuff for the freerunner.  Thanks again!

I have the G1 developer phone and the Google Ion (the dev phone given away at the Google I/O conference, mostly identical to the MyTouch) -- both manufactured by HTC.
They have replaced completely my SL-C3100 which I am keeping just for experiments.

My only gripe with them the inadequate hard/soft keyboard.
Any day now, I am waiting for the delivery of the Motorola Cliq whose keyboard is excellent (I tested it during the Motodev Summit).

Then I will probably sell either of the phones, and maybe the Z.

I have the T-mobile G1. I have cyanogen's 4.2.1 rom and find I actually use the calendar now. Emails delivered to my shirt pocket. Has any one successfully transferred either Kapi or the Sharp address book contacts to the Google contacts? I suppose I could resurrect Outlook in Windows under virtualbox and use kapi's sync and then to Google?

If only the new Nettwalker from Sharp could use a usb phone/modem stick!!! Does anyone know if it does? Perhaps there will be a mini netbook with Android soon?

Iphone 3gs here, though I really like the look of the new 'droid. The Iphone does quite a lot, and my Z's will become tiny webservers and stuff like that as soon  as a stable OS with 'real' distro feeds is working. That is really close, of course.

Ah, too bad. Of all choices, Android is the worst one as it's cannibalizing the Linux ecosystem. Then again, if you're happy with it...

I'm now wif HTC Leo 8585 but dual boot wif FroyoSense ROM on SD card - as this ROM can make use of the HTC Sync to update all my contact / calendar / task info as a whole....

true that my 2 Zauri are kept in my wooden drawer tidily - w/o collecting dust

What "the phone" are you talking about?

My wife has an HTC hero. It's ok, but I can't stand trying to type on the touch screen. And lost phones have gone cheap and used capacitive touch screens which meant they don't work with a stylus or in very cold weather.

If I got a smart phone it would be Android but it would have to also have a physical keyboard (like the my touch slide). I wouldn't dare touch an iPhone appliance. With the amount of control Apple has over their products they should be paying ME to use them.

I'm also not sure about a few things Android does though. Can anyone explain any fixes for this? One issue I have is if I open a couple of programs and switch around to something else, it seems to auto close the other programs so when I go back to them they are "reset" and anything I was doing on them is lost. It seems I have far less control over things on Android than I do on the Zaurus or a PC.

I have kinda given up on getting a smart phone. There hasn't been one that would fulfill my requirements, though the N900 comes close but lacks usb host.
SL-C3100 happily Dualbooting Japanese Rom 1.02 and Debian Eabi
Replaced internal CF with 8gb seagate cf hard drive
Ambicom CF GPS
CyberPower battery powered USB hub
D-link DCF-650W (MAN THIS THING IS HUGE!!)

My guess is that newer versions *should* be able to handle this problem better, I found the following article to be quite informative, although it does not say which version she is talking about.
