like said elsewhere, android support wont be coming to sailfish untill late autumn when the commercial version is released. people quit trying to make native clients after whatsapp started banning their users.

found this on the jolla site:
Quote
Final phase: Sailfish X for Gemini PDA released

We target to release the official Sailfish X for Gemini by the end of this year. It will be sold via shop.jolla.com. The full Sailfish 3 version will include all Sailfish features, constant SW updates, Android support, and full end-user support.

so i guess then we'll be also able to run android apps... like whatsapp i guess

For Telegram and Signal there are Native SailfishOS Packages. Depcher is Telegram and Whisperfish is Signal

A few Whatsapp ringtones will help you to solve the problem.
He's actually trying to have a working Whatsapp client on SailfishOS, I don't understand why are you suggesting here to add new ringtones.

EDIT: since the user has not logged in here since March, I now believe he was a spammer, account and posts deleted.

Might very well be a spam account...

The two posts made were made within two minutes, and both were about as meaningful...

If it's NOT a spam account, I for one, still don't understand the meaning of the posts...

Did you see that there is now waydroid support for sailfish?

there are two ways to install it, either a full virtual android environment, or one pr. app basis.

I just flashed sfos 4.4 and installed CHUM which as far as I can see is the newest solution for an app store.

I managed to install both solutions for waydroid, but havent gotten virtual android up and running.

if you are curious, check out nick's linux experiment youtube channel to see waydroid in action on a standard linux installlation
