Very interesting, thanks for compiling this list, most of the tips there are useful for us Gemini users as well. It would be great to have articles like this stored in a wiki which is still planned. Now that most of the work on the forum has been done, we can focus on it, we'll keep you informed.
I have a question about the controller: how stable is the Cosmo with both controllers attached? Is there any danger of pushing the screen with too much force, thus risking to break the hinge?

Thanks. I would be happy to contribute to Wiki as well. Cosmo is stable and solid with both controllers. No danger at all. Controllers size perfectly fits Cosmo, they can't touch the screen at all. If you will push the screen itself with your finger too much it can potentially break but why will you force push it if everything is mapped to controller? I've attached some pictures, you can take a look

Thanks for the photos. So the controllers are actually attached to the base, I thought they were attached to the screen. That's a much better solution.

Hi. I bought one. In the instructions Ipega said that the gamepad is fully charged when the orange led is off and is charging when orange led is always on. Mine when charging orange led flashes and when fully charged orange led is always on. Is this correct ? Thanks.

Bought the Ipega too along with the Dash 3 stylus, so thanks to the starter about the list. Dash 3 is really good.

A very solid feeling device this Ipega also. And mine blinks too when charging. When charged, the led stays on, and when the charger is removed it goes off.

Now,  as I'm not any gamer expert, the setup seems challenging. Firstly, when launching the ShootingPlus v3 app and pairing the device, I get warnings that the Direct mode does not work reliably with my phone due to the bluetooth chip. Then follows recommends to enter the developer mode and whatever... Is this really true? How is it with you cam1965?

Eventually I will find out, takes some learning though. As much as I dislike searching Youtube for learning something, l have no better options...

Maybe someone will find it useful. Feel free to suggest apps and accessories

This is excellent - very public spirited of you and very kind to share, as a new user I found it really useful.

Hi alien2003,

Thanks for this great list.

I bought the mouse you recommended, found it nice, but way to big for such a tiny device. My alternative: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/cheerpod-go-anywhere-air-mouse-presentation-tool/x/20638751#/

A fantastic app is Andropen Office (available also via Aptoide), its really a full fledged word processor on Android!

I'm trying to work out how to get the Del key (or more specifically Shift-Del) to function as a Delete key in Android Open Office Writer. I can reallocate the key function through Tools->Customise->Keyboard  but in the list of allocatable functions under the Edit category there seems to be everything but a simple character delete function...

EDIT: in case anyone else is struggling with this, I have now implemented a workaround by recording a [ cursor-right; backspace ] macro then allocating this macro to Shift-Del.  Interestingly, LeftShift-Del on the Cosmo keyboard is represented in the list of Andropen Office key bindings as [Shift-Delete] whereas RightShift-Del is found as [Shift-Backspace] (obviously, there are no separate Delete and Backspace keys on the Cosmo, by default the key labelled Del acts as backspace) So I have allocated the macro to both [Shift-Delete] and [Shift-Backspace] so it works the same with both Cosmo Shift keys.

Hi all.

I just wanted to bring attention to a wiki I've been curating with the community. It's a Git-based wiki (it might, in the future, be merged with Planet's wiki, and worked on by both Planet & the community, who knows), and hosted on GitHub.

Contributors make changes by making PRs to this repository - https://github.com/shymega/planet-devices-wiki-prs - there is no other way to make contributions, except by emailing over new pages to myself, and when the PR is approved, I set up a CI script to automatically update the wiki here - https://github.com/shymega/planet-devices/wiki - with commit history.

I appreciate the wiki isn't very 'new user' friendly, but it's the best way I could come up with for a collaborative system.

This is a duplicate post of mine, but it's relevant to this thread. The reason I cross-post is that these sort of suggestions could belong on the wiki.

Thoughts on that, and the wiki, are welcome.

The original site now seems to be down, but luckily it was captured on Wayback Machine
