Has anyone used this CF WiFi card?

I want to grab that card mostly because it is nice and cheap, but is it that cheap for a reason?  I just want a card that\'ll get the job done as well as work with Kismet.  I tried doing some research and it looks like the card is Prism2 so thats good and the pics on the page show it in a zaurus so I know it\'ll work, I just want it to work for a while

Thanks!

It\'s just cheap because the bidding started at $9.95.

It looks to work well from the screenshots, I can\'t however find it on the user submitted compatability list at http://zaurus.knightfire.com/

I suggest at that price you get the card, see if it works. If it works then heh that\'s cool, submit it to the above URL as a working card.. If it doesn\'t however just sell it back to ebay for the price you bought if for (and mark it down as unworking on the above URL)

After going to Blue Proton\'s Website found in the pictures, there is a really nice shot of the Zonet ZCF1100 based card running on a Zaurus.  I think it would be safe to say it works.

Yes they do work, I picked up a couple second-hand, they work with Kismet and for non-WEP. That doesn\'t mean they don\'t do WEP, it just means I\'ve not checked WEP out!

Cheers

Note:  The ZCF1100 card only worked for me in OZ 3.3.6, not in the standard roms.  I\'d like to get a driver for it to work in a standard Sharp ROM and have sent an email to Zonet tech support to that effect, but no luck yet.

Thanks,

I bougth the same card from pocketshirt it works like a charm on all the roms i have tried - allthough i have had some difficulities getting wirless extensions working for stuff like wlan sniffing in kismet and wellenreiter - but for normal networking its fast and doesn\'t eat as much power as my old crappy D-Link 660W (IMHO).

Laze, did you get the wireless extensions working with the prism2 card?

I was following the thread, but it kinda died.

I got what is a Prism2 card from meritline.com (they sell it as a Meritline MWL-672 - the label on the front says SparkLAN, the Zaurus sees it as Prism2) brand new for $32 plus $7.82 shipping, it works real well on my SL-5500 with the 3.10 Sharp ROM - I\'m satisfied and there was no technical challenge to getting on line.
