I\'m not a Miami-Dade denizen (I live in Minneapolis, MN), but I am a UF alum.  Go Gators!!

Do you get to drive the office Hummer like on CSI Miami?

Naw - I'm stuck up in the lab. Besides, they drive low profile vehicles to scenes in real life. A Hummer would be gone in a heartbeat down here!

Great responce, folks!

ChrisZ - Haven't got a wireless card yet. Only had the C860 for a couple months & still trying to decide what CF WiFi to get. Suggestions?

I would recommend the card I have, It worked out of the box, and will most likely work with newer models too.   It works great for me, when I use kismet.

PS There are so many hotspots in south florida, I love it.  And about 90% say \"linksys\" lol.

ludovicus  Are you a member of the Melbourne LUG? Perhaps a ZUG and LUG meeting could be arranged. I live on the other end of the county, Mims even, and I don't travel to the big city often.

That is rather ironic. An old high school classmate & friend was just over for a visit earlier this morning. He lived many years in Seattle & worked for Boeing there. Left Boeing several years ago & living off his investments since then. Moved back down here earlier this year to cohabitate with another of our old high school friends.

How long ago did you leave the "metropolitan" Kendall area? Traffic gets more gnarley here every day! Technically I am in Westwood Lakes, BTW.

I used to live in Broward County (1948 - 2000),  does that count??

I'm an FSU alumna.  Go, Seminoles!  Heh, I'm a lady so I guess from my weak Latin skills,  it's "alumna".

Might as well - G. Most of the folks in Broward today seem to have moved there from Miami-Dade after Andrew - LOL. And most of west Broward has been well & truly "Kendallized" so ...... its all SE Florida, just one big, long urban strip. Kinda like in the cyberpunk sf stories.

You & my friend Paul would mix it up then - LOL. HE is a UF alumnus & a rabid Gator fan. Now, me - I did attend UM for a while at first but matriculated from good old MDCC then from FIU. First full class of 1974. Team? WHAT team? LOL.

Your Latin is probably better then mine. I don't even know the plural for Zaurus (Zaurii?).
