Who has been able to get Stratagus (WarCraft2) to work?

I\'m posting this thread so that I can create a poll to find out who has been able to get stratagus (WarCraft2) working on their Zaurus.  Some have and some haven\'t and I\'m trying to find a pattern so that I can track down the problem.  I suspect it is based on Zaurus model and ROM version, so I\'ve created a poll to try to find out, from you, which has or hasn\'t worked.

This poll assumes you have 1 Zaurus or none.  If you have more than one, only mention the one you got working with the Zaurus, or, if you weren\'t able to get it working on any of the Zauri you own, then mention the most recent Zauri you own.... especially a SL-C7x0 or SL-C860, since I think those are the problematic ones for this.

If you WERE able to get stratagus working on your VGA Zaurus, please tell us details... ROM, etc...

Please let us know so that we can work towards gettings this working on all Zauri!

For those of you who have gotten it working, this thread will serve as a log.  Let us know your Zaurus model, ROM, stratagus version, and anything else you did to get it working...

I kinda agree with the aim of this thread, also trying to have it running ... for now I tryed it with cacko\'s 1.21a Qtopia rom with libSDL_1.2.6-zports_c7x0_arm.ipk ... with 32Mb swapfile and without swapfile without any difference

Hm... maybe it IS an SL-C860 issue... I\'m still waiting for the poll numbers to come in and mature a little over time...   What I\'m really interested in is if anyone has been able to get it working on their SL-C860.  If they have, what\'s the difference between theirs and ours?

I\'m sorry... I couldn\'t remember all of the VGA Zaurus... I think one was called SL-C6000 or something.

I run it sucessed,with a bit slow(I feel).
my platform:

sharp original rom
no swap
all quick start disabled
sdl version:libsdl_1.2.5-slzaurus20031201_arm.ipk from http://wiki.self-core.org/atty/?SDL
used cracked version of war2 to build data.wc2 and got a 11,978,528 bytes folder with 887 files

I got it to run without any problems on my SL-C760.

Tony I voted that I tried and it doesn\'t work, but I haven\'t  given up yet.

I don\'t even get as far as it drawing the screen.and I get unsupported-missile tag:missile as my last error message.

I will give it another go later tonight, or failing that Sunday.

I haven\'t tried yet, but I probably will over the weekend.  If I get it working I\'ll let you know.  I also might try compiling an up-to-date version of SDL.  Thanks for the files, btw.

So... are binaries compiled for a particular ROM?... could our problem be that we need a binary compiled specifically for the SL-C860 (dynamism) Sharp QTopia ROM?  Anyone?

I got WarCraft 2 working on C860, first try.
I installed stratagus package from the forum.
Added the symbolic link /opt/QtPalmtop/lib/stratagus -] /mnt/card/data.wc2
And clicked the Icon.

The games started and I played (and got my butt kicked) for a couple hours.  I did not get to finish my game because when I tried to save the game it died.  When I open it back it shows up under saved games but won\'t load.

Anyway thanks everyone for making this work.

OK, the 240x320 (actually, 320x240) screen is crippling, but I\'ve groped my way through the first human scenario, with the setup in my sig, 32MB swap, and all fastloads disabled.

Tip,

I believe that you need to give Startagus root access by tapping and holding on the icon in the launcher. The saved games are stored in /home/zaurus/.stratagus/wc2/save
Checking the root access box enabled me to load/save games, whereas I wasn\'t before.
