So I get this nifty new 860 and the first thing that I do is to install the Cacko Rom (1.21 with patch). No problem.
Now I go visit killefiz and start downloading some interesting apps.
As I install some of them, I notice that konsole disappears. WTF? I more or less tracked this down to installing opie based apps, so I avoided them after the next flash (I have gotten really good at this. lol...).
This sort of helps but I end up losing it again when I run some of these new apps. Another flash and back to square one.
More apps, this time I hit the LCD off button on the taskbar and the dang thing get into a mode where I can get it to startup for a second and then it shuts off. In the brief time that the screen is visible, the screen resolution is really large and cut off at half of the screen. Eventually it won\'t even start up. \'nother flash.
Yet more apps, things look good, but it gets into this mode where it reboots just about every time I close a program. Flash.
Okay, so now I limit myself to what I think that I absolutely need and install that. Things seem to be stable for the moment, no disappearing apps, no crashes.
I have noticed that most of my problems seem to stem from the \"old\" 5500 apps that I\'ve installed. The problem is that this isn\'t all that apparent what Z the app is designed for when you download the proggie.
So:
a) Is anyone else having this problem?
Is there a more stable ROM that I could be using?
I like the look of the Cacko ROM, but this is killing me
