Bought C860 several months ago. Screen backlighting became intermittant several weeks ago. So far have been able to move screen and restore the backlight but it is a major PITA & I know that eventually it will have to go back for repairs. So just ordered a 2nd C860. My Z(s) gotta be 24/7/366 mission critical. No avoidable downtime allowed.
Anyhow, when the first one comes back from repair, I can use the \"backup\" one to finally let myself \"play\" with all the alternative ROMs & other brick risky stuff that I can\'t try with a system that has to rock\'n roll constantly. Just like I once kept backups for my HP200LXs in place & loaded.
Past experiences with laptops & palmtops has been that screen & keyboard issues are usually the primary pitfalls.
My first \"portable\", a Dauphin 286 \"LapPro\" (16.5 *pounds* with the 90 minute lead acid battery pack! 12Mhz CPU! 10\" diag mono CGA LCD display! 40Mb HD! top of the line), died the real death when the screen went south. Many, many mango seasons ago.
So the C860 still get top marks so far.
