Is there a cf to pcmcia adapter for the zaurus sl-5500 like there is for ipaq pdas? I wanted to use a regular wifi card with my zaurus so I could use a external antenna.

there is... you have to make sure it's a 16bit card though
Gorgeous C860, 256 Sandisk SD, 1Gig Pretec 40x CF, PDAIR leather case & the really cool retractable iPDA USB sync/charge cable. Powered by PDAXROM BETA 1.

My wish - to have a Command & Conquer style game on my Z! (FREECNC!!!) Simcity 2000 would also be great.

I got a generic CF to PCMCIA/PC Card adapter off of Ebay for like $15, and it works great in interfacing a Linksys WPC11 to my 5500.

Great! Thankyou- been looking for one of these for ages.
Only one problem (the one I have had all along)...

What am I supposed to search for?

The only thing I ever end up with are pcmcia cards that take cf cards (so you can plug them into your laptop), not the other way around (I want to use a pcmcia card with my z).

Thanks
Simon

Well thanks for the suggestions, but pretec only do the pcmcia cards that take cf cards.
The semsons website won't load properly.

Remember I'm looking for an adapter which will allow me to plug pcmcia cards into my z, _NOT_ one which will let me plug cf cards into my laptop (I can get those anywhere).

Thanks
Simon

This is what you are looking for? Found by searching on amazon for "cf pcmcia". I've also seen it in the local Fry's.

Thanks! So they do exist, great!
I always got the other type (by the thousand), whatever I searched for (including 'cf pcmcia').
