what PIM on Z syncs with Qtopia Desktop on Linux?
« on: July 25, 2004, 03:31:23 pm »
This ought to be a really simple one, but I couldn't find an answer here or elsewhere.

I have an SL-5500 that is set up with a wireless connection to the LAN - all works fine.

I have installed Qtopia Desktop on my Linux box and I want to sync with the PIM on the Z.  I have the standard Sharp PIM installed with tkcROM and I don't think that this wants to sync other than with the cradle, which I don't want to use.

There must be a Qtopia PIM for the Z that will talk to the Linux Qtopia Desltop over wireless LAN, mustn't there?

I will change ROMs if necessary, but don't want to lose Opera.

Any ideas?

32MB SanDisk CF card to flash from.
Gentoo Linux 1.4 on my PCs.

With my SL5500 I used OpenZaurus pim to sync with QtopiaDesktop 1.7 for linux.
Make sure you use the security app to set your sync ip range.
It should be fine.

Thanks for that info, not quite there yet though.

My Security app has nothing about IP Sync ranges, just the main passcode.  Which ROM are you using?
