Is the backup battery status info available?
« on: December 13, 2003, 07:29:23 am »
I was just scanning through the logfile (with logread something like that) and stumbled upon the following message:

Dec 13 10:41:50 openzaurus syslog.warn klogd: check backup battery !

Where does this information come from and can the end user access it (I thought I\'d add it to the battery applet)?

I also have the message \"check backup battery!\" in dmesg.

But how do I go about checking the backup battery?

Check the battery driver source code in the kernel. I don\'t know how much information you can get out of it, but it would be nice if that could be exported via apm to userland.
Cheers,
