Or maybe someone needs to play with the code from

home/QtPalmtop/bin/zbedic

BTW I really new to this and haven't figured out how to edit source code in XP yet.

I think I found a way to fix the rotation problem but I need a little help. How do I remove the line
OnlyWithDisplay=640x480/144dpi,480x640/144dpi

from the _7x009rotate.desktop file
under /home/QtPalmtop/apps/Settings

I think if I remove this line that all the software with different type of resolutions will finally come up the right way.

ZEditor didn't work

I'm actually trying to limit the search path so it doesn't take as long to find the dictionaries and doesn't come up with so many false hits (lots of files under /mnt/card/debroot/proc etc.).
zbedic uses Qtopia method call 'Global::findDocuments' to search for dictionary files. As far as I know, there is no method to limit search to selected directories for this method call.

You seem to have non-standard rom image and this is may be causing the problems. Such non-standard rom should probably have 'Global::findDocuments' modified to search only in directories that may contain document files.

Other solution would be to remove *.dic pattern from zbedic MIME, so that zbedic would recognize only compressed *.dic.dz  dictionary files. However some people may still be using .dic format of dictionary files and may be not too happy about such change.

are you sure you are not in 320x240 mode?  If you tap hold on the icon, do you get the option to turn off magnified mode?  Magnified mode will not rotate.
I'm now an iphone user and use my zaurii as serial terminals, perl and shell scripting and when I need 640x480 screens

You can try posting a more general question, refering to all applications that do not handle rotation properly, in one of the development forums.  I checked Qtopia documentation but I could not find anything that would explain how rotation should be handled in applications.

Ramf good idea and Bluedevils thank you. Now I understand! (^-^)

How to fix all the misrotated programs for the SL-C3000

*Go to the icon desktop
*Hold your pen on the program icon
*If there is something like VGA (480x640) written
uncheck the box and the program should start up the right way (^-^)

The program might have a few text size or length problems but at least it is around the right way.

...the next problem I have is that now 4 of the icons in the toolbar are tiny.  I might see if I can edit them and put them back into the file.  The copy, paste and settings icons are perfect.

If it's not too difficult could someone add text file support to the ZBEDic.

Is the source code from this program a lot different from the one on the Zaurus when you buy it?
