what's so special/wrong with the C3000? It is just its USB connector?

Speculatrix,
there's nothing "wrong" with the SL-C3000. You just need to keep
in mind that in all previous models we had the proprietery so known
"SHARP I/O port".
This port provided serial / usb / charging and JTAG functions depending
on the cable you use.
With the SL-C3000 this changed completely. The physical connector is
still there, but only for JTAG purpose. No USB / serial etc. any more.
SHARP did this, because now we have the new and shiny Mini-USB
connector with client / host capability. So why should they care about
our old cables ?
But this also implies that every device that used the SHARP I/O port
will not work with the SL-C3000. The AirCable is for the SHARP I/O
port, so it won't work with the 3000 model.
