networking stopped working...
« on: January 06, 2004, 09:41:24 pm »
ok, I\'ve gotta 5600 with the stock rom. I have a socket wired ethernet card, and a d-link wifi card (dcf-660w). I installed kismet and gui, and gave it a whirl, and it works great. However, when I shut it all down and run kismet_unmonitor, the d-link wifi card doesn\'t completely reset itself to normal mode. I can no longer \"eject\" the CF card, or use any networking functions. I can bring it up (kismet) and it does indeed work, but I can\'t get my wired ethernet card working anymore (which did work prior to running kismet_monitor, kismet_hopper). Any ideas? Is seems to be still running. When I go to current network status, the wifi card is running. Rebooting the Z/and pulling the card out don\'t work. When I put the card back in it\'s in the same situation, and I was trully shocked today to find that my wired card doesn\'t work either. The network globe on the bottom has an X thru it, and even when I ifconfig eth0 down it still stays messed up. Any help would be most appreciated
