For the time being I found no workaround which worked for me... Let's wait and see :-)

I think you should ask your provider (must be a problem with them). Personally I use O2 which runs quite well - even if I didn't see 5G (theoretically it works).

Cosmo Communicator - CoDi / Re: CoDi - experimental new firmware survey.

The original updates didn't work for me until now, so any new (and different) attempt to get CoDi working again is welcome. Thhank you for your engagement.

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Re: Rooting the Cosmo Communicator

usagi87, I think you are at the point to completely flash your Cosmo. This is the procedure I tested after "killing" my Cosmo: Download SP Flash Tool and the latest ROM, select "Firmware upgrade", press button download and then connect your Cosmo. Now just press and hold ESC until the red line appears in SP Flash Tool. Please be very patient! This can take up to 60 seconds (depending on your computers USB)! After that your Cosmo should start again. Hope that helps and bye for now  AP756

A side effect of the forum update: IPv6 now works (at least for me). Problem solved :-), thanks Varti

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Unofficial TWRP build

TWRP is no longer available on V22. It asks for a password. Will I be able to use it as before?

TWRP still works. It asks for a password to decrypt data (AFAIK is only possible using ADB). Just use <back> and you'll see TWRP - no data partition of course

Thanks for the suggestion, tried that. CoDi is completely dead, no response, no function, no update. "Cover display not responding" and ""Codi Version Unknown". "Resetting cover display..." results in nothing. Codi is completely brain dead :-(

Another finding / interim solution: For me it's possible to connect to the forum using my VPN-account

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Wierd Cosmo after partitioning

Thank you cam1965 (and bolderz). Tried to restore V19, unfortunately I think my Cosmo doesn't fully understand what I want it to perform...

Status: No response from CoDi at all, black display. V19 is reported to be the latest firmware, no chance to update. Anyway all other programs work. So I decided to root partition 1 again (by hand), installed Magisk, xposed and Gravity box. Now I got two different rooted systems (due to multi-boot), one fully working and one without phone support, both without Codi.

For the time being I'll live with that. I don't know which part of the ROM is responsible for linking the outside display. Would be nice to see an official scatter file with good documentation.

Thank you for your suggestion. I followed the thread you mention, but I think my problems are a bit different. Yes I'm still on V19 because I can't update, don't ask me why.

My "interim" solution: I rooted Normal Boot, injected Magisk v20.4 by hand (which was not possible using the recommended way of direct flashing). Phone works now in this normal-rooted partition. I'm back in business, still lacking CoDi, unable to update to v21... Well, good enough for today.

Petition: We need full ROM images and corresponding scatter file(s) to make life easier

Dear community, I need some help. I think I (my Cosmo) got stuck.

The story: My Cosmo was rooted and worked with some problems (high power consumption, CoDi refused to update,...). Today I partitioned the Cosmo following the desciption on Planent Computers webpage. All went well, phone boots in all partitions, but
- Phone works ONLY in unrooted Android (no network on rooted partition, Linux not tested)
- Magisk wants to update, but I can't find a way to do that. All seems fine, but nothing happenes
- CoDi fully stopped to work, asks for update, but refuses to do anything (no automatic, no manual update), no external display anymore

Something went totally wrong. I just can't do anything, because I need a full ROM to restore and a matching scatter file (V19 here on the forum was already tested, but there is still no response from phone or CoDi - something is missing). For the time being I have to retire my Cosmo and go back to my Gemini.

In hope that somebody official monitors OESF: Please provide us with full ROM images. People here are mostly adult and know how to handle a phone. They don't have to send their units back to you for fixing, they can do it by themselves, if you provide the tools.

Thanks for reading, TIA for any useful comment and bye for now

Would be really nice to have the complete, flashable, official ROM for download. Planet Computers can you hear us?

Moreover I use beside German (QUERTZ) also English and Italian and found no way to install the QWERTZ physical keyboard while typing... (actually I would love to leave the keyboard as it is (German)...

The only way I found is using "Language preferences", there is an option to add English (German). This does not work for Italian (only options Italia, San Marino, Svizzera). Also I didn't find a short cut to change language. You have to set it in settings (Einstellungen) -> system -> languages & input -> Add a language / change language by moving the prefered language to the top.

HTH  bye for now  Fred
