Tried giving root a password and still received the same error.  Maybe I should remove dropbear and try openssh?

The issue is that dropbear (the ssh daemon) doesn't allow connections for users who don't have passwords.

I've no idea why your new user can't connect, but if you set a password for root you should be able to login,

Has anyone one had a problem trying to ssh into a newly flashed hentges rom (3.5.3 w/cardfs installed)?  When ever I attempt to connect I get prompted for a password and then get "Permission denied, please try again".  I've created a non-root user w/password and get the same error.  I also enabled root login for sshd and restarted the sshd daemon and still get the same error.   Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / New Hentges Rom With Oz 3.5.3 / Opie 1.2.0

Coredump - Have you tested any theKomany apps with the 3.5.3 version?  With 3.5.2 I could never get any tkc apps to work with the compatible lib's.  You mentioned once (I think) that you got tkcplayer to work with 3.5.3.  I was never able to get it to run.  Is there a trick that I'm missing?  I just installed the Hetges 3.5.3 withe cardfs and a 64/0 kenel.  I plan on trying the tkc apps tonight and just wanted to check with you to see if you have tried.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Q For Cordeump

Coredump - I've searched the forums for this answer but cannot find it and I know it's there somewhere.

What is the command to execute the install/repair of the bootstrap-image-rootfs.img to an installation of the henteges rom.

I've used it before but cannot recall now how to do it.   Also, there appears to be no link at your site to this howto yet I recall that it was at hentges.com

You can bet there are lot's of 5500 owners who are anxiously waiting to try the pdaXrom on their Z's   

Not to be pushy as we do appreciate all of your collective efforts to bring the 5500 users into the fold.   So is there any chance of a status update?

dino - Thanks.  I've already reflashed with thekomany rom where boa installed and ran w/out a hitch.  With 3.5.2 I insured that the www-data user and group exisited and that the doc root were owned by www-data and confirmed it was in the config file.  But it still choked.  I wonder if there is an issue with the "-" in the user/group name?  When I flash back to 3.5.2 I will try what you said.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Boa/hentges Problems

Has anyone gotten boa to run under the hentges 3.5.2 rom?  I'm using the collie 64-0 rom and boa just seems to die off without any errors.  I getting a little desperate as I plan on using a web based lecture for class this thursday and run it off of my Z5500.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I don't  want to have to flash with a different rom where I know boa works.

ELSI General Discussion / Status Of Zsi

Does anyone know what the status of ZSI (http://killefiz.de/zaurus/) is?  Program adds/updates have been slow.  Nothing for the past 30 days.  Is it a symptom of the Z community or something else?

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Sharp Camera Ce-ag06

grog - I'm confused but happy.  After trying the OE ROM and the opie-camera app seg-faulting on me I tried the Henges ROM again and now it recognizes the camera on insertion and opie-camera works like a champ.  All without me doing anything.  Not sure what's different but I'm happy.

I found the sharp-camera-support  ipk in the openzaurus feed for 3.51/upgrades.  It loaded ok and I the camera works.  Now a new problem.  I'm getting lockups when ejecting the camera and can only hard reboot.  On to the next battle....
