General Discussion / Planet-Computers not further available? Orders not distributed?

Hello,

I ordered a DP-USB-Adaptor cable in April and payed via Amazon-Pay with the instant pay button.
Another payment method is not available. I hadn't gegistred for the order.
I got never an email of the order but the payment hab been succesfully debited.

By the way after near 3 month the Cable is still not arrived. I tried to use email, contact formulars and the amazon payment support menu for the status but got never an answer.
The latest I got was an answer that broken dissplays cannot be exchanged because are not available.
So I created an account an tried to order another DP-USB-Cable but Amazon Payment does not support any more this shop.

I wonder but is it possible the company does not further exist and no payed orders willl be delivered any more?
Does anybody knows something about planet computers?

Astro Slide - Hardware / How to reconnect cables of Display

Hello,

yesterday my as has to been fallen to the floor. Immediately the screen has begun flickering and the colors changed more to blue.
Today it will not further show anything.
One of the sliders coulde be more pulled from the keyboard device so maybe only a cable has been disconnected.
Does anybody know how to reconnect it?

Astro Slide - Android / Using different Kb layouts between screen and hw?

Hello,

I'm a fan of neo2 kb layout. So I want to use the neo2 on screen but not on hw keyboard. But if I configure neo2 on screen keyboard it will also used on hw keyboard which i half bad because of missing keys some characters not available on the hw kb like the d and y chars.

Astro Slide - Android / Dual SIM operation not possible?

Hello,

I have a Main SIM in slot 1 configured and a eSIM for slot 2. Both are from DTAG.
Because of security only sms on main SIM in Slot1 is possible. Becais of SIM Problems which often disconnect the main SIM 1 and I must restart the phone before it will work again i registred the esim on slot 2 with same contract.
If eSIM on Slot 2 is aktivated I can phone, if eSIM is deactivated via eSIM app i cannot call and have no connection. I wonder me that SIM 1 is not used instead of using eSIM on slot 2.
So I restarted the phone with deactivated eSIM and I still cannot connect the AP. Only if I deactivate eSIM to slot 2 in Astro Settings immediately the SIM1 has to been activated again.
Is it possible that using SIM1 and SIM2 at the same time is not possible? I though in the past with my communicator it was running well, but would not really remember thats was a truth.

Astro Slide - General Discussion / Bad Signal quality at 4G and 5G

I cannot Talk about 5G signal quality but I often have no connection and connection aborts if I'm driving so I tried to limit the connection to LTE 4G.
But against my Sony Xperias 10 III Signal strength which is almost good the Astro Slide often loose the connection to 4G also or have a unstable connection for phoning and internet.
So I limit to 2G and now the connection will not often loose any more but I have a poor bandwith.
3G is gone in Gernany so it is not usuable any more.
I remember me that the Communicator also was not so good against my older Sony Xperia 10 but not so bad as the Astro looks like.

Are there some other users which have connection problems on 4G and 5G whether other phones still have no problems?

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Replacement part for right usb-c connector?

Hello,

I bought a corrupt cable which does not released the usb-c plug in the socket. At removing of the cable the usb-c port has to been damaged so I want to replace it. Does anybody knows which p/n I can use?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Special settings will be lost after reboot (example. keyboard backlight)

Hello,

I don't want to reactivate the keyboard backlight each time after the phone has to been rebooted. Is there a way to fix this?
Is it possible to change the backlight in affect of the brightness of environment?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Phone will used switch back to them self instead of continue my car connection

Hello,

if I calling from my phone or with my car display remotly the ringing itself is hearing over my car speakers.
But if the call is answered the phone will switch back audio to the phone to hold in the hand which is very bad if im driving.
I can switch back to the car but mostly the caller has been often hang up so I must try it a second and third time.

With other (non Android) phones I did not have such a problem. Maybe it is only related to android.

Any idea how I can change this "feature?" If my phone is connected with my car everything audio should routed to the car without switching back to the phone.

This problem is not related to the car. I got this problem on Volvo XC40 Recharge, Nissan Leaf ZE1, Toyota Yaris 2021 Edition.

Cosmo Communicator - Hardware / Power supply problem of my ID Card (German NFC secure chip?)

Yesterday I tried to use my ID Card with my CC and the AusweisApp.
The ID Card NFC chip is found but If I tried to start the security functionality of the card the connection will loose.
I position the card over the camery module because I mean the NFC antenna of the CC should be there. But also moving the card around this area does not fix the issue.
The knowledge base of the AusweisApp means this could be a problem of limited power supply for the NFC because of power save functionality.
Is there a way to modify the power supply to send more power to the nfc secure chip in my ID Card?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / Keyboard Bounces

also as on my Planet Gemini my Cosmo Communicators keyboard often bounces.
Any Idea how I can fix this problem? Or is this a regular problem of the hw?

Cosmo Communicator - Android / USB OTG port problem since last upgrade?

Hello,

I use a USB-C to USB-A Cable to connect different devices to my Cosmo Communicator.
So it has been worked for mass storage devices like my USB-A Flashdrive (64G) also
for a Keyboard or mostly my card reader devices.
Since short time I got now the problem that no of the devices which I connect will
work anymore on my CoCo. I use the left port to charge the device by a qi-card which
is glued to the back, and the right one for all the rest.
The last time the port has been worked with my card reader device was on 09.09.2020.

What I see is on the card reader Rainer CyberJack SCT, If I connect it to the Card Reader
the both led flickers short time but the reader than will not further initiate as like on
my desktop pc.
The Kingston USB-Storage will not identified.
A Cherry numeric keyboard will also not work.
Another Card Reader (SPR 532 Chipdrive) looks like is initiated but my application
Driver Card Reader Pro (reads drivers licence cards) does not find the device
as like before as like my Rainer CyberJack SCT.

Another Problem: the device cannot be charged any more on the right port.
I think, latest time to charge the phone was round about on the 19.09.2020.

In the past I user USB Device Info app to identify and get more info of connected
usb devices. At Debug mode I get an error that /sys/bus/usb/devices is not readable
because of missing permission. I wonder me, but maybe that was also the situation
in the past.

If I search for "USB" in settings search bar I found 3 usb device setups, but
everything is greyed out so I can change nothing.

Gemini PDA - German / Oft geht FN-R für Screenshots nicht mehr

Ich habe des öfteren und leider jetzt dauerhaft das Problem, das die Screenshot Kombination FN-R nicht mehr funktioniert.
Ich habe auch schon versucht die Tastatur in den HW-Einstellungen erneut zu setzen was in der Vergangenheit immer funktioniert hat.
Auch ein danach oder zwischendrin durchgeführter Neustart hilft nicht mehr.
Aber leider geht das auch jetzt nicht mehr.
Hat wer noch eine Idee?
