Hi everyone,  

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this and if there's any easy fixes about. I can't get any sound to work at all, whether I'm just listening to YouTube, or trying to record audio through the mic. This goes for both the headphone jack and the speakers/mic built into the device. Pulseaudio seems to have quite a lot of different sound input/outputs as well as a number of different profiles, I've tried lots of combinations with no success so far.  

I'm not looking for some awesome pro audio setup, just enough to maybe make voice calls over Facebook or Skype through the browser

I've stupidly managed to drop my (uninsured) Cosmo and cracked the screen. E-Mailed Planet and they want $500 to repair it!  

I'm just wondering if anyone has had any luck sourcing spares elsewhere. Planet so far have been reluctant to send me one rather than me sending them the phone to fix it up, but I'm going to try and push harder for this.  

i suppose this is more of a rant and a warning not to smash your screen up to avoid ridiculous repair costs but I am legitimately looking for better options before letting Planet screw me out of $500, so if anyone has any ideas I'm all ears!
