Hi. Why keyboard gemini apk is not available on google play ? I had removed in the past this app when my phone was rooted ( pm uninstall ) and could never install it again. And in cosmo I could also install a version modified with accents to use in Brazil. ( used apk Editor pro and modified keyboard kcm file ). Now I did a factory reset on my phone to restore this apk. Please see my other post and never , never lock the bootloader if you have unlocked it. This caused me a problem and I tought that my phone was bricked.

Hi. My astro is bricked. Can someone provide files to reinstall android on it ? Thanks.
SOLVED .
I have unlocked my phone and did a root on it. After this some apps like bank apps and others was not working. I decided to do a reset on my phone and after this I did a lock to oem again. After this the phone was bricked booting only in fastboot mode. ( like a bricked phone ). So, I have unlocked the oem again and for my surprise android returned.  So, please do not lock oem after you unlock it.

I am in doubt about flash or not  the device with a root image. Problem is bank apps . Some bank apps need to be renamed the app to work. Maybe only because I have a gemini keyboard app with accents ( That I have modified ) to use here in Brazil.  I think it only install if rooted . And if I unlock the bootloader, I will lose everything.... ( too work to do later ).

I also don't know if astro has support to usb dp alt mode. I have tested an hp usb c to hdmi  dp alt mode   adapter and it does' t  work.

Hdmi works partially using the hdmi cable from cosmo and connected at the  left side of astro.. You must connect the cable and do a restart. After this, the display output is only in the TV, not in the display of astro. I connected a mouse to work with the phisycal keyboard and the display of TV. Sound after some time is distorced.  I tried to attach a video here that I have made using my cosmo but it was not successful.

I wrote to the PC asking if the cosmo cable is the same as the astro cable or if it's a software problem. There are still no answers.

The certificate is controlled by Planet so they need to update the certificate.

I let Adam know via telegram. The only way to update gemian is to set the date back to 18/10/2021 (10/18/2021 for our US friends) by doing the following:

sudo timedatectl set-ntp false
sudo date -s 2021-10-18

Then update the system. Then do the following to reset the system clock back to auto sync

sudo timedatectl set-ntp true.

Thats it.

@cam1965--I have put holds on cosmo kernel, etc to keep my compiled kernel first and foremost.

But I now see that there's an updated kernel available. Have you recompiled it? Or are you content with your present kernel?

Hi.
I am content with my compiled kernel. And I also have   marked  ( apt-mark hold ) to not update   kernel and kernel-headers. Because my kernel has a lot of modules that the  planet kernel don´t have.

So, if there is a change that is important to you, you can recompile the kernel again.

How do you like UB Ports vs the other linux options available to us?

UB Ports is a good operating system. The interface is very good. Usability too. It's very polished. But Debian for me is better: much more apps and more versatile. But I must admit I use Android most of the time, because the camera works with all apps and I can also use my banking app. Android is also based on Linux.
