then click on pda icon and scroll down, you get pictures and other stuff...you can see most of the applications but what you dont know is that i have over 2000 games on it.

Ohmygod you have the same kickass speakers as I do for my Zaurus

I use the creative travelsound\'s PSU to charge my Zaurus here in the UK too as the Voltage & Amperage are a near-match (the Voltage is bang on at +5 Volts and the Amperage is slightly over at 1.5 Amps, all this means is the battery charges a little quicker)

I\'ve yet to find a game that screams \"DOWNLOAD ME AND KEEP ME ON YOUR Z!\" - I\'m a 3D game fanatic and the Quake / Doom clones I\'ve had problems running and the Eon Games products are designed for the SL series not the C7x0 series which I am bound to.

I think the main use mine gets is wireless IRC access on my C760. I use the ZIC client but to be honest the client is too basic for my needs *hint!*

I connect to the net via a Armadillo BlueCF bluetooth card to my Nokia 6310i both via GPRS and HSCSD depending which is cheaper at the time of day

I\'d remove the battery as well, constantly keeping it on charge will wear the battery out. Every other component should last a lifetime (assuming you\'ve turned the LCD backlight off too)

Somehow I\'ve managed to get my C760 to boot up without a battery, I think if you take out the battery and lock the lid again but keep it in the cradle with AC power it may just work. If not then you\'ll have to think about buying another battery in the long term if you want to leave it on all the time.

Heya all. I\'m not sure what the (unwritten or written) rules are for making such a request but I desire this applet to be converted to regular sharp rom format:

[img]http://www.killefiz.de/zaurus/screenshots/00198_0.png\" border=\"0\" class=\"linked-image\" /]

The applet is a Bluetooth Manager written for OpenZaurus, I do a stuff with bluetooth and could make use of such a good applet for the Sharp ROM if anyone knows how to convert it to Sharp ROM, or at least Sharp ROM with libopie installed (which I have. I tried to install the OZ BM ipk to my Z but it wasn\'t recognised by the package manager).

Thanks

Cxx0 Hardware / Battery Recharge problem?
« on: November 21, 2003, 05:22:31 am »
Yup after 2 days of owning a Z and charging it with the creative charger I can say it\'s great. I had to cut off the end of the default charger and splice it onto the creative one but it works fine. I can charge my Z anyway wheeeeee

I have that installed, it\'ll connect to the phone fine but when it tries to dial a GPRS connection my 6310i will say \"Subscribe to GPRS first!\", yet it works fine by that pppd script.

I installed the launcher-batteryapplet from this website on my default rom C760 not realising it wasn\'t for my Z: http://community.zaurus.com/projects/qtopiax/

I uninstalled it but the problem remains: I\'ve lost my default battery applet. I can\'t see how much charge my Z has left in it

Anyone know how to get the default battery indicator back? I\'m pretty sure it should be possible.

I got it working by means of a PPPD script, but alas NetFront needs it to be registered connection in the network window :/

That\'s freaky as hell. I just got my Zaurus from a guy who sells them on ebay from japan (Lawrence Camera I think his name is)

When I was idly playing with it I noticed a white spot, I knew I only had 2 dead pixesl on the screen but this was taking the mickey, as I looked closer it was moving and sure enough it was a mite, mine was external though so it got flicked away.

As for your problem, it\'s humorous but I\'m sorry I don\'t know how to help.

Heya all

I just bought an Armadillo BlueCF CompactFlash card, it\'s covered by the Anycom Bluetooth driver, the instructions are at http://www.holtmann.org/linux/bluetooth/bluecard.html

I just want to know how do I install this on my Zaurus? I\'m not sure of the procedure to install drivers on a Linux PDA (a desktop is fine, but a PDA, well I don\'t want to risk bricking it hehe).

Anyone here got the Armadillo Card working with the Z? I know it\'s possible

Here\'s a charger I unwittingly realised would suit the Zaurus. It\'s designed for the Creative TravelSound speakers but the output voltage & current virtually match that of the Zaurus, and that little extra 0.5 amps of output current will help to charge the battery just a little faster. The model number for the TravelSound speakers is CSW5300 and the charger model number is TESA3-0501500

I really recommend buying these speakers as their size is ideal for the Zaurus and the sound output is unbelievably good. I will do a proper review of these speakers in conjuction with the C760 either later today or tomorrow.

The charger input is 100 ~ 240 Volts AC, 50 ~ 60 Hz and sucks no more than 0.24 Amps (so it works in multiple countries!)
The output is 5 Volts DC, 1.5 Amps Max with the center pin positive (I\'m assuming the Zaurus is Center pin positive too, I\'ll find out when my C760 arrives later today hopefully).

The charger has a radio (figure of 8 style) AC input so you can connect multiple power leads depending on which country you\'re in. The charger itself fits in the palm of your hand, very portable. Ideal for international travellers.

You can find photo\'s of it in the folder http://foxdie.timduru.org/zaurus/ (yes my camera is crap hehe)
