Openzaurus And The Sdl-5600
« on: February 02, 2005, 09:38:27 pm »
I noticed a lot of people are having a problem with the SL-5600 and OpenZaurus syncing.  Windows XP says "unrecognized USB device" and Qtopia Desktop doesn't work at all.  Does anyone have a solution for this?  I am using OZ 3.5.2 with Opie.

Also, how do I get my network connection working with this thing?

I read on another post that once the 5600 hibernates/sleeps it can no longer be recognized by windows until you reboot it.  Try rebooting your zaurus, wait until Opie loads, and then put it in the cradle.

I've been able to get it to install the drivers but I haven't had any luck getting is to sync with Outlook     If you get it to work with Outlook please post what you did.

Assuming this is a problem with hotplug, you don't necessarily need to reboot it, a simple re-insmod of the net_fd related usb modules should fix it (assuming that's what it is). Do a search for start_net.sh try running the appropriate commands for the pxa version.
