1. Case 1 : Using VideoLAN on PC and Kino2 on Zaurus
Result: success to watch and hear streaming from files and VCD/DVD but fail to stream from capture device such as TV cards
So in other words, you're basically already there but decided to whimp out at the last step . The failure to stream from (a) capture device(s) is most certainly
not a problem with vlc but more likely a problem with your Windows setup and/or a usage error.
I usually do all my streaming from Linux using vlc on both ends, but was intrigued and fired up Windows to have a look (usually just do that to torture The Sims or such ). Decided to play dumb and just followed the steps from the
VLC Streaming-Howto and had an HTTP stream either from my Cam/Mike or BT848-based capture card up and running towards my Z within 5 minutes ...
So you may want to re-check your settings and compare them with the vlc docs -- since you managed to stream from other sources, it's quite likely to be just a minor thing. If there is a
real problem, help is also available in the VideoLAN forum on its IRC channel (details on the VideoLAN website).
Best regards,
Chris.
