Battery Drain With Cf Cards In

I did a search for this topic and I have not found any direct statement that a cf card will drain the battery even when the unit is off.

Can anyone confirm this? Does a socket bt card also drain the bat when unit is off or only the wifi card or both? I have only noticed a drain with my cf card in.

If I click eject card prior to closing unit, will that help or does one have to completely remove the cards?

I think the cards do add a slight drain, but they are designed to have very low quiescent current use.

When suspending, Cacko (for me) ejects the wifi or bt card in use which cuts the power to the socket, possibly leaving it with a standy power feed.

I think you can save power when using the Z  "cardctl eject" as otherwise the card will be partly active.

I can confirm that my wifi cards did drain the battery when left in but not connected.  I have no experience with BT cards.

My Symbol card is OK. The suspend current is low.
While my previous Netgear will drain the battery quickly.
