Thanks!  I can see why everyone likes it.  I did notice it seems a little slow when opening programs etc.

For apps you want to start right away - like PIM apps Ko/Pi Ka/Pi etc, just long click on applicatioon icon and select Fast load to on.
Then the next time you start the app, it will load much quicker.

I don't see any PC Link anymore?   I still have to type in the Zaurus path in the "run" on my PC to get the Zaurus to show up.  Is there another way?

As for camera, I hooked it up with cord and it works!  shows up under files   love it!

PC Link is under the Settings Tab.
Yes, you can remove the Cacko files from your card. I would save them somewhere else, so you don't have to find/download them if needed again.

I actually use 2 SD cards, My 2GB for my everyday use, and a 128mb with the Cacko ROM files and a backup if I ever have a crash.

fishcube,
How's it going with cacko?
I'm sorta' contemplating installing it on my C1000, but I am worried that if I want to get back to the stock sharp rom, I will have a problem with the partition resizing.

Doug

just do a NAND backup, then when you want to go back, do a NAND restore. it's quite simple with the c1000 since you don't need to worry about backing up/repartitioning the microdrive since you dont have one unlike the c3x00

Thanks for the reply, Meanie.

So am I correct in assuming that a NAND backup includes a complete backup of the ROM, plus the data contained in the backups made with backup/restore?

I ask this because the NAND backups are 132MB in size.

Regards,
Doug

yes, on a c1000 it contains everything minus the content of your SD and CF card of course

I'm really liking the Cacko.    Much nicer then the stocked rom.   I'm glad I did it before the weekend....as its so much easier to use and has alot more info at my fingertips.

Anyway to change tab coloring?  I wish this was customizable.

I changed my tab coloring and all Qtopia interface/dialogs to a darker shade of blue.
It's been a long time since I did this, but found most of the information in the "Themes Icons and Backgrounds" Forum.
Don't follow these instructions, because I don't remember all the details. It went something like this:
I copied the zblu file to zblu3
I edited zblu3 with a new HEX number that represents the color.
I then renamed the original zblu file to zblu2 and renamed my zblu3 to zblu.
Then I re-enabled the zblu style in the appearance tab.
Now my tabs, dialogs, and program borders, are a slightly darker shade of blue.

Like I said, my description above isn't complete, and I may have forgot some steps, so do some research in the above mentioned forum.
You'll eventually figure it out.
Here's an older screenshot of my apps tab just after I changed this setting. It also shows a dark blue wallpaper.

Fishcube, since you like fish themes, there is a fish screensaver built into Cacko 1.23 (Full version) under the LUS ScreenSaver Utility.
