Perhaps Sharp rom is the most stable and "user-friendly" system.

I wouldn't call sharp rom the most stable; it's probably the most complete system, and the most mature. It's also not the most open (given sharp proprietary kernel modules) either.

well, let's do a little flashback :
(i'm talking about the C3000)
-first we had the Sharp ROM, good rom, stable enough, some good and working software but no real evolution despite some sharp rom releases
-then we could put Pocketworkstation on it, simili-debian emulation, whow! , but damned slowwwww
-then cacko, but difficult to install on a C3000
-then OpenZaurus, working great on the C3000, but stuck to a unfinished version
-then alleluia pdaXii13 (thanks again master Meanie!)
but all that stuck to kernel 2.4 on the C3000
-then we could try the alternates Angstrom and OpenBSD, into which i'm really hesitating right now i'm flashing back and forth from A to O, trying to find the first which will accept to do bluetooth dialup networking
i didn't heard about Debian EABI before today! (i'm used to have Deb on my desktop PC not a long time ago...) . That would be a dream come true
so keep up the good work ! zaurus is not dead !
to come back to the topic with Angstrom, i'm a little angry your bluetooth card works with it and not mine....... grrrrrrrr... anyway i'd try the latest 20070422 build to see if it helps....
