C860 is same as C760 so we decided to not make diff between them. Use C760 images.

OK.  Now for another question:  What is the pet name for the 760?  

I know a lot of people find the pet names to be second nature, but everyone knows their model number.  Why add a layer of confusion?

EDIT:  Never mind - I found it in the FAQ.  I still think it adds a layer of confusion.  (Just my Opinion)

I just recently got an SL-5600, and so far only have the Sharp 1.32 rom on it. I have read posts by those who are brave enough to load other roms. It seems that some new feature works, but some other feature (support for various odd-branded devices for instance) stops working.

Those of you who have tried this new rom, what new features work and which ones do not yet work? Can you print from the Z over a network. That would be great.

Care to say when the GPE version will be ready? It will breath new life into my SL5500. I hope.

Later today hopefully - It's all waiting on gpe-nmf now - I'm sorting out the final bug left in it before release so that there's a working small(-ish) audio-player for GPE available.

I loaded it on my 5600 and it works pretty well. I couldn't get it to sync with QTopia Desktop, but everything else seems like flawless victory. It is much faster than the Sharp rom both in the gfx and general responsivenes.

I reflashed my 5600 with 3.5.1 today from SD card (which was a little scary, but worked very well).

Excellent job, everything seems very slick.

I have a SL5500 can I flash with just the SD card or do I still need a CF, I updated my ROM to the 5600 .

I couldn't say for certain for the collie, but on my poodle I used just the SD card and it worked like a charm.

The 5500 can only flash from CF, The firmware for flashing is different between the 5500 and 5600.

Hopefully the GPE image will be ready when I get home, I'm looking forward to trying it.

If you're flashing the rom and the lights come on and go out quite quickly and you end up with the rom that was there before, what are you doing wrong?

I'm obviously having a dumb moment, I've flashed the rom plenty of times before and never had this happen :-(

I was testing a rom image from the GPE/OZ 3.5 just to see, but the new official OZ 3.5.1 won't flash nor will my old tkRom files. It's very, very weird.

Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated

OK, that's weird, reformating my CF as FAT and not FAT32 was to blame, but I've flashed the ROM before with that card at FAT32. Obviously having an idiocy attack as I should have thought to try that first *sigh*
