Okaaaay. Now I think that I understand why Dynamism uses Language = zh_TW.
If you use Language = en, all the apps forget how to read Japanese charcters. Just square boxs.
For some reason, the display also becomes larger & easier to read, BTW.
But using zh_TW, you get both english & Japanese char sets.
And putting the converted Movie Player .qmid files in i18n/zh_TW still gives a completely english set of menus & headers for the app.
Oh, BTW, qcop QPE/System "restart()" does NOT always work the same as a reboot. On one go round, Abook started failing to open. Said that it couldn't find a so.0 library even though it was clearly "there". SET from konsole showed that paths had been buggered & a reboot cured the glitch.
