I've been thinking about buying a 6000L (would be my first zaurus).  I've been watching amazon and searching the 'net but the prices are all over the map.  What price range would be considered reasonable?

The 6000L was listed originally at $699 US.  Amazon has had it on their site ranging in price from $379-$499 in the last few weeks.  That's less than an Dell Axim x50v.  If you can pick up a 6000L in that price range, then I think you've got a deal!

What's the deal with the availabality of the 6000?  Amazon and PC Connection both have no stock.  EBay has a ton of listings.

Any word on what is going on?  Is Sharp giving up on it after so short a period of time?

Sharp has said that they aren't planning on a new model for the US market.  See the posts in this forum.

The 6000L was always meant for the enterprise customer.  I wouldn't be surprised if the last units sold are the last of their stock.

But maybe there's an unopened box of them somewhere...

Sorry

got mine for $412 + $19.99 shipping last week - given the amazon fiasco, I decided ebay would be a better place to try, and I couldn't be happier.

Got mine from direct amazon.com fro $379+shipment. Arrived on time and I'm loving it. But after the day I bought, it was only available from third parties. I think they ran out of stock.
