For Sale / Wanted / Anyone Want An Old Zaurus?
« on: January 11, 2010, 04:30:36 pm »
Hello,

If you're ok to ship to France (and I'll pay for it of course), I'll be happy to give a new home to one of your 5600s

@plcg:
The Angstrom images did not disappear yesterday, because I was still downloading them today. I think some Angstrom people saw this thread and removed all the old files from the feeds.
If you need the 2.6.21 kernel I can bring it here.

OK
Could you please bring the 2.6.21 kernel and explain how to flash it ?

Thank you very much

Chero,

Could you explain how you did the first step ?
You said that you've flashed angstrom most recent image (20071004 ?) and then a 2.6.21 kernel.
Where did you find this kernel and how to just flash a kernel ?
When I tried a 2.6.21 kernel-based image, ext3 was not supported. So SD card couldn't be mounted.

Another problem : I've noticed that there's only one image in http://www.angstrom-distribution.org/unstable/images/akita/ : 20071004
The other images have disappeared since yesterday!

Thank you

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Zbackup For Pdaxii13
« on: March 09, 2007, 01:11:17 am »
Hi Meanie,

Is there any chance you make a C7x0/C8x0 version of zbackup ?
My C760 seems to have a NAND failure so I can't do a NAND restore anymore

Thanks

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Problem With Fltk Trying To Comple Pose
« on: January 22, 2007, 10:52:39 am »
Hi!

I think you have to compile FLTK 1.0.x because 1.1.x doesn't work (see this)
For some help, see also this page

I remember too that some sources of Pose must be patched.

Hope this helps

EDIT : you can find patches here

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Ted, Abacus And Siag For Pdax

I've just tried and failed to get SIAG office compiled under pdaXii13. I've been searching OESF and the net and although I've read posts about people running siag under pdaX I can't seem to find any packages anywhere- pdaXrom.org is down AGAIN which hasn't helped!  Anybody know where I can get siag packages that will work under pdaXii13?

gnumeric and abiword run great on modern PCs but their 1min+ loading times on the Z aren't much fun. Are there any other decent, LIGHTWEIGHT (i.e not GTK2 or QT/KDE based) speadsheet or wp progs I should consider? They must be able to open xls/doc or use a format that I can easily convert my xls/doc files into. Pathetic writer supposedly opens doc files and I've found an app that can convert xls into .wk1 (Lotus-123 files as used by siag) so I should be OK there.

Thanks!

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Files Needed For Installation Pdaxrom
« on: September 10, 2006, 02:48:00 pm »
It's because the how-to refers to beta1 (or 2 or 3).
Since beta4, installation is different.

So, if you want beta4, see the thread here

But perhaps it would be better to test beta3 first and see what is pdaXrom ?
In this case, download this file

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Grisbi Available

Great! I'll try to compile 0.5.9 tonight and hopefully can update the contrib package.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=138271\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Unfortunately, it doesn't work for me
But, while debugging grisbi 1.5.9, i've found that import "segmentation fault" happends in import.c when calling a gtk function (see below in bold characters)

void selection_fichiers_import ( void )
{
    GtkWidget *fenetre;

    fenetre = gtk_file_selection_new ( _("Select files to import") );
    gtk_window_set_transient_for ( GTK_WINDOW ( fenetre ),
                                   GTK_WINDOW ( window ));
    gtk_window_set_modal ( GTK_WINDOW ( fenetre ),
                           TRUE );
    gtk_file_selection_set_select_multiple ( GTK_FILE_SELECTION ( fenetre ), TRUE );
    file_selection_set_filename ( GTK_FILE_SELECTION ( fenetre ),
                                      dernier_chemin_de_travail );
...

If I put this line in comments (/* */), import works but multi-selection of files is (of course) no more allowed.
So, it seems to be a gtk problem.
By the way, Meanie, I saw in your feed that you've hacked gtk2.
Can you tell me why ?
Is it for pdaXqtrom ?
Thanks

Zaurus - pdaXrom / Grisbi Available

Hi all,

I compiled Grisbi 0.5.9 but there's always a segmentation fault when trying to import a QIF file.

Then I noticed that the version of Grisbi (0.5.8) in Meanie's pdaXqtrom works !

So, Meanie, how did you compile it ?
Thanks!
