Mac Issues / Sharing Mac's Internet Connection Via Bluetooth?
« on: March 04, 2008, 09:51:27 pm »
well been mulling this over for a bit, got a ppp connection going,
on the mac:
ppp0: flags=8051<UP,POINTOPOINT,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
   inet --> netmask 0xfffffe00
on the z:
inet addr: P-t-P:

yet can't ping google, any idea's will be much appreciated.

this is the script for the mac:
do shell script "sudo /usr/sbin/pppd /dev/tty.Bluetooth-PDA-Sync 115200 noauth local passive proxyarp asyncmap 0 silent persist : &" with administrator privileges
do shell script "sudo /usr/sbin/sysctl -w net.inet.ip.forwarding=1"
do shell script "sudo ifconfig ppp0 up"

and I am using the BT-GMRS script in /etc/ppp/peers/

Almost there I think....

Software / Abookreader 0.9.0a
« on: December 28, 2006, 01:51:53 am »
I downloaded the .ipk for this upgraded version of aBookReader from bam's site; also downloaded the abookreader.setting file to try to change the gui from Japanese to English, but I can't figure out how to overwrite this file on top of the old home/QtPalmtop/bin/abookreader.setting file. I tried to edit it in Zeditor and failed for lack of permissions. How can this be done? aBookreader works just fine, but I still can't read the settings.

I feel like a total noob. Help?
