Just got word from loc4me:

"FedEx Ground shipping. 3 business day is $15.13. I Can ship the package Monday."

So if anyone wants to pitch in that last little bit, PM me. I am forwarding payment to loc4me as soon as I can find his/her PayPal email address. Will pay from my PayPal and checkbook, so PayPal will not charge 3% fee. (3% fee is only if you use a credit card, I think.)

Hi all,
Glad to see this going to a developer. I will be shipping this out tomorrow morning. To bad I wont a have a 6000 anymore to try out any new ROMs that may come available. Good luck to everyone.

It does not matter how you pay, it is the type of account paypal forces you to have that charges the 3.0% fee. I will split the fees with you so just add 1.5% to the total. My paypal account is loc4me at gmail dot com

Thanks

I would say "oh, fudge!". But anyone developing for the 6000 would be nice!

Okay, I have been convinced. Development for the Tosa will be more benificial with someone who has more time than I. Payment details are as follows. I will split the 3.0% paypal fee with you (if you choose that method of payment) and buyer will cover actual shipping cost. Package will be send Fedex Ground and buyer will recieve a tracking number.

You guys figure out who is the treasurer to send payment and i can send the package to them or directly to the developer who wants the item.

Thanks for being persistent, I am just too busy to be much development help. Although i was trying to convince myself otherwise.

For Sale / Wanted / Fs: 2 Zaurus Sl-5500

I would like to buy one of these.  I've got a 6000, and my Dad already has a 5500, but he'd like a spare.  I'd pay the full $50, but I would like some pics first.  Also, what ROM is it running?  He uses the Sharp Rom, and I have no problem flashing (God knows I've done it enough to my 6000) but I wanted to make sure that the v3 ROM for the 5500 from myzaurus.com is the correct Sharp rom.  (if it is, I'm going to be very frustrated about how easy that was to find, compared to the original Sharp ROM for the 6000)

I'll PM you my e-mail address

One has been sold to AeroSigma.

I have a feeling that at those prices, the 6000's are gone.
I haven't yet heard from loc4me either.

Hi All,
Sorry for the delay in getting back to every one. There has been lots of interest in the SL-6000's and someone has bought a package deal of one of the Sl-6000 and all the accessories. After charging these up I forgot how beautiful the SL-6000 was with it 640x480 screen. For right now I think i am going to hang on to the last 6000 and do a little development myself with it.

If i loose interest again, It will be back up for sale here in the forum again. Thanks again for all the interest.

Both units have original boxes and all accessories including chargers, desktop cradle, manuals and CD's. I have one extra desktop cradle. High resolution pics available if requested. Could not get them to upload.

SOLD: Looking for $150 each for the Units.
SOLD: $100 for the SLED.
SOLD: $50 each for extra batteries.

I have no problem splitting this all up so PM me and make an offer.

If dont get any hits here, then i will try ebay.

Thanks

Software / Sync Kde Pim
« on: April 26, 2006, 03:39:54 am »
I have been messing with the sync funtions of kdepimpi on a windows system but my question will be the same on any other system too. My question is how does one instruct KDE pim on what calendar to write the sync info too? For example I have 3 remote calendars that i sync with and i would like them each to be sync with their respective calenders localy but i am unable to figure this out. when i sync it will only write the data to the "standard" calendar. I have tried everything to get it to write this data to the calendar of my choice but have been unable to figure it out. Does anyone know how to do this? Zautrix?

General Discussion / 6000w Vs C3200
« on: April 06, 2006, 07:09:59 pm »
6000W for me. Well if $$$ was no concern. I have 6000L and like it much better than C series. I do prefer the landscape layout over the portrait but all in all i prefer the 6000. I would go for the C3200 as a second unit. The avaliablity of ROMs is greater too.

How soon will a 6000L version be released?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=122109\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Also would be interested in a 6000 version

A couple of questions:

1. Out of curiosity, why was the n30 chosen as the initial platform? The 5500/5600 would seem to me to be a (more) logical starting point given the specs of the n30.

2. What's the proposed wifi connectivity solution?

Cheers,
Randall.

I believe they choose the n30 b/c of its low price point. Better hardware by having built in wifi and bluetooth and much greater battery life. The SL-5500 is still a good machine but there are many other devices out there that are better from a hardware standpoint. Now they just greated the software to make it even better.

bug/needed improvement
simple button based wireless
support for usb ethernet, if not  currently available
maybe a 2gig sd driver, if possible
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=121553\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Yes. Wireless GUI is the number one complaint and this will be worked on. I have no idea if the 2GB driver would work. That would be a worth while attempt though. I will add it.
