Want Compiled Thread?
« Reply #300 on: September 24, 2007, 12:21:31 pm »
Well I tried the fluxbox 1.0rc3 posted earlier in this thread with PdaxiiV2 alpha1 and its not very stable.

The first issue I have is when I try to adjust the main bar width it will freeze for 5 seconds each time I try to increase the bar width. It also does the same pause when you try to change the with styles.

The other Issuse I am having is when I try to start an application like abiword, tasks, or any program for that matter fluxbox will crash back to the console.

In the earlier versions of pdaxii I used the fluxbox 1.0 rc2 compiled in this thread:
https://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=21726&st=30   by dtruchan. That one worked great and was faster then all of the others and had none of the issues above. But sadly it no longer works with the latest pdaxiiv2.

So Im going to repeat my request for a compile of the latest Fluxbox 1.0 rc3.

Also Dtruchan compiled fluxbox with the following options:

Compiled options (- => disabled):
-DEBUG
EWMH
-GNOME
-IMLIB2
-KDE
NLS
REMEMBER
RENDER
SHAPE
SLIT
TOOLBAR
XFT
-XINERAMA
XMB
XPM

Thanks again for anyone able to do this!

I agree with on the fact that fluxbox 1.0rc2 was faster, I didn't try fluxbox 1.0rc3 on pdaxiiv2

Hello to all,

I was searching the forum for a versin of joy2key for pdaXrom, but only found a version for the cacko rom. Could anyone compile it for me, tell me how do I do it or simply tell me a place where I can find this package for pdaXrom? Playing snex9x-sdl without a joy is a pain.

Anyway, the source code of the program can be found here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~rensg/Joy2Key.html

Another package I'm looking for but I know is already compiled somewhere is kde for pdaxii13, if anyone knows where I can find it I would be grateful.

Thanks,

glac

Please, could you compile the newest OpenBox? The one in the pdaXii13v2 seems to be 3.3. 3.4 would be nice as it features higher configurability.

Thanks a lot.

I'm on it.

To those who have requested builds and I have not done them yet: I'm sorry, and I'll hopefully get to them sometime. I'm human, and I don't necessarily build in order. I do stuff that sounds interesting/looks easy to build first/only. Once again, my apologies.

EDIT: Antikx: With the applaunch plugin, you probably won't need wbar. Save RAM

Thanks.
But wbar looks soooo cool!

BTW. I compiled the latest Crossfire multiplayer game client (gtk).
YIKES! It start up but man it's slow (3-4min to load). It seems to take up about 45MB of RAM after it's fully loaded, so swap is a must. I tried joining a server, but it ended up taking so long to do anything, that I gave up.

I know, but I'm a RAM Czar

It's done building, I'm building the new packages list now, and am going to upload it to my feed ASAP. I'll probably build the quick-launch plugin as well.

Can somebody (package maintainer?) please tell me whether the fvwm package is compiled with stroke support?

For more info see here:
- at the bottom of the subtopic Stroke: http://www.fvwm.org/doc/unstable/fvwm/fvwm.man.html#Stroke
- library for stroke support: http://www.etla.net/~willey/projects/libstroke/

Thanks for info and possibly a recompilation .
