I'm definately installing Cacko now, and then trying to custom install pdaxii13 on microdrive, in order to check if I can dual boot somehow  If it works, will post how to do it.
[div align=\"right\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

you do know that there is pdaXQtrom which runs most pdaXrom applications but can run at the same time as Cacko so no rebooting is required.

Meanie: Yes, I know,  thanks - but no thanks. This thing is really damn slow. I don't want this. I want to separate them.

Wahey! pdaXii13 has magically decided to work for me now on c3100 in that files don't disappear off hda1 when I reboot! I'll update the above install instructions shortly- I'm presuming it will be the same method for installing the upcoming pdaXii13 on c3100

After doing some tests my unit still has the disappearing files issue, just to confirm the previously stated bug.  Sorry it took so late to get back, been busy.

Looking forward to the 'fix'

Has anybody successfully installed pdaXii13 Akita with the full hdimage on a C3100 or C3200? How did you do it?

I've just updated the install instructions in post #1 of this thread to reflect the current status of pdaXii13.

As soon as I know how to install pdaXii13 Akita with the hdimage-full upgrade then I'll update it again.

I updated the c3100 pdaXii13 install instructions again to include the fact that c3100 and c3200 owners need to use the latest revisions of the install files.

Antikx (if you're reading this)

I think I remember you saying you were keeping a copy of these install instructions on tz? If so could you please update it now. I think these install instructions are pretty much complete now and won't need to be updated until/unless someone gets the pdaXii13 Akita version fixed to use a hdimage successfully.

Thanks!

I installed latest version on my 3100 using instructions from 1st post. It works, but I find that it hangs on that messg: EXT3-fs: mounted filesystem with ordered data mode for at least 10 minutes on each reboot, very annoying.

Also, there don't seem to be any hostap drivers so my Ambicom 1100 card doesn't work (won't work with orinoco drivers either)

I guess it's back to to the latest version of pdaXrom & GPE for me. I like the tweaks Meanie has done, but I gotta have wireless.

Cheers,

Jerry

FWIW, my Ambicom 1100 card works fine with pdaXii13, v5.2 on my 3200, jerrybeme!

Maybe, you should try reinstalling pdaXii13 one more time and see what happens...

HTH,

I just installed pdaxii13 on my C3200 after installing pdaXrom 1.1.0b3
When it finally booted to the welcome screen, the calibration screen flashed by in just a few seconds and then closed.
It acted like it was calibrating automatically, but failed to calibrate anything.
Now I'm trying to get the calibration screen back up. I got to input settings under system tools, and there is a place to check "Recalibrate stylus on next start of window manager"
I cannot place a checkmark in the box, what is the keyboard shortcut for placing a checkmark in a selection box?
The space key works in windows, but not in this instance.
My stylus is so far off it's mark, I cannot use it.

EDIT: I got it working.
I restarted and recalibrated the screen. I was having probs making the spacebar place a checkmark in the selection box.

How can I get USB storage to make my internal hard drive available when I hook up to my windows box?
The "USB Settings" application only has 2 choices. SD or CF (CF means removable CF card only)
When I installed pdaxii13, I used the "Recommended partitioning" during the install process.
I also followed the instructions by the book, and when it says to format your remaining partitions, they were already formated.
My hda3 is shown as /dev/hda3 mounted on /data type vfat (rw,noatime, nosuid, nodev)

I did search for "USB storage", but since someone here has it in their signature, the search didn't work.

Also, what do I need to do to get screen tap sounds to work like they did in Sharp/Cacko?
EDIT:
Another thing I noticed, the charge light on my C3200 (the amber one) never shuts off...
How do I know if my Zaurus is charging or if the charging circuit is constantly working?
I always leave my z's plugged in while I'm at home.
My C3100 with Cacko only displays the charge light when it needs a charge. It usually shuts off after a certain amount of time.

hi there ...

What are the symptoms when you plug in the card? Any led lights?
Try giving us the output of "cardctl ident" and "cardctl status", maybe we can help fix the wifi.
