Haven\'t made the c-860 move yet, but am getting closer to it. Definitely seems the way to go for me. Enjoy your and Francis\'s comments...will let ;you (all) know...Steve
Well Steve, it comes down to what kind of machine you want, don\'t get me wrong, having been a long term HP200LX user, and having owned a Clie I can say that one is a computer, the other is an organiser.
The Clie is a nice organiser, with cool features but its just a PDA, put your phone numbers in and sync, that\'s as exciting as it gets. Beneath the bling application launcher and built-in Sony apps (i.e. for the camera etc) it\'s plain old Palm OS, as unsophisticated as the m130 - a let down for the money. The C series Z\'s are more in the vain of the HP200LX, that was a full DOS handheld PC, the Z is a full computer but now with Linux instead, it has FAR more usefulness and scope.
I realised within a month my Clie was a mistake, a bad one, I had seen this strange thing called a SL-C700 at Expansys and I was impressed. I gave my Clie the best treatment I could, I destroyed it with a mighty whack from my
\"Corrective Hammer of Justice\" in the garden, usually reserved for smashing old crap. I got a 5500 from eBay and I loved it, it was everything I wanted in terms of a pocket computer. Now I have an C860, it took a year to go from Clie to Z and I thank the Almighty I did, it is the best thing since sliced bread.
Any Z, doesn\'t matter which, they are all good. Do let us know what you decide, and why ;-)
