It's not gonna happen anymore, guys. Even I, known as the Planet Defender and some other similar names (esp. on Indiegogo) have lost faith that this update will ever come.

There's a CODI update come out apparently, 1.1.1.14. Date on that version is 17th of June.

http://fota.planetcom.co.uk/stm32flash/cos...re_versions.txt

CoDI display assistant doesn't want to update yet, since the firmware file clearly shows it's interoperating only with V22.

Maybe it actually *exists* somewhere...

Thank you.
Glad to hear this.

All the evidence is that these things are being worked on. But only by one or two people at most, and seemingly in their spare time. And so it takes much longer than it might with more enthusiasts. I can't understand why a space hasn't been opened up where enthusiasts could contribute. (And ideally example kit seeded out there for free to people with an interest and a proven background in working on this sort of port—I suppose I'm thinking of the Linux side of things. So far as I can tell the Android side was intended to be completed by a company under contract.)

Finally : From PC today.

We will finally release V22 Android firmware early next week, most likely on Monday.
The V22 took a lot longer than expected, because we had to track down an issue that was causing intermittent device reboots when the power saving mechanism was invoked during serial communication between Android and the cover display.

We finally managed to identify the actual cause of the problem with the help of MediaTek HQ in Taiwan and we have implemented a solution that keeps the power save characteristics, whilst also preserving communication with the cover display.

The V22 firmware also solves issues with eSIM communication in recent Android firmware versions.

The cover display firmware will also need to be updated for Cosmo to function as expected. You will need to have the new V22 Android firmware running with the new V1.1.1.14 version of the CoDi  firmware, also to be released on Monday.

Direct updates will be available for the following Cosmo Android firmware: from V19 to V22,  from V20 to V22, and from V21 to V22.

A question:

Why they don' t update Today or tomorrow if everything is fine now ? And only possibly on Monday ?

I hope this time the date is correct and we don' t wait a long time again.

Let' s see.

Probably because they need to jump through some hoops to get it deployed via Digitime's OTA update service. There was still no word on their supposed roll-your-own replacement. The battery saving and getting rid of reboots is good, but I hope those are not the ONLY issues addressed. It has been 3 months since V20/21...

I would hazard a guess it coincides with them returning to their London office.....

Over excitement about firmware upgrades in these rather troubled times are comical if nothing else!
