Looks like the SD-port on your Zaurus is dead.[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=88895\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]
Gee, can I have a crystal ball just like yours?

Uups, sorry. I thought, I had read that he tested two different cards.
So you are right. It could be either SD-Card or SD-Port or the combination of them.

5x00 Hardware / Sd Card Fails On Insert

Hi,

same here, 1 GB Lexar SD ext2-formated works fine for me.

Try to check the SD cards on PC. Looks like the SD-port on your
Zaurus is dead.

Angstrom & OpenZaurus / Selecting A Zimage File
« on: July 14, 2005, 08:43:02 am »
Hey,

don't misunderstand. You may choose any zImage, which adds up to 64 MB.

32-32 means
32 MB System RAM
32 MB RAM Disk (which holds /home/root on Sharp-ROMs)

you may alternatively try 64-0
64 MB System RAM
0 MB no RAM disk at all
this is IMHO a good choice, if you have a resident ext2 formated SD card
for installing additional software and private data.

Hi,

you can list the installed files of a package with the package manager ipkg. Go to a console and check the options of ipkg how to do this.

well, I'm going to try qt-e-2.3.10 in parallel with qt-e-2.3.2 on cacko... if I ever get it to build!

I'll post back results one day.

Hi, i suppose that won't work   The major version numbers should difer. Qtopia 1.6.x (or 1.5.x) AND Qtopia 2.x is ok. Maybe Qtopia 2 works with qt-e-2.3.2 ?

Sharp ROMs / Qtopia Rom 2.1.1
« on: June 28, 2005, 09:00:45 am »
Hi all,

i did not read this thread completely, but:

AFAIK it is no problem to use two major versions of a library simultaneous. So it should be possible, to install Qtopia 2.x libraries and applications onto a Sharp-ROM-driven device without braking the Sharp apps. I don't know, if the same applies to QT/E because of the access to the framebuffer device.

Qt/Qtopia / Vym (view Your Mind) On Zaurus
« on: May 30, 2005, 08:53:30 am »
Hi,

maybe you are using Total Commander on Windows. There is a plugin to read .deb archives.

If you have access to any Linux box you can use "ar" to extract the .deb

5x00 General discussions / Using Internal Flash As Swap?

But the SD-card is flash, too. So you are cutting down it's lifetime?
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=81600\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Right, but you can replace the SD by a newer one. What will you do if internal flash ist broken ... ?

No. Thats PocketPC not Zaurus, not Linux. SWT needs a native part which contains the widget bindings (SWT <-> native GUI).

Hi,

libcrypto should be part of OpenSSL. So you may look for an openssl package.

Hi,

ooh yes, i forgot

But you need the libjpcap which is not part of OZ. So you will need to compile it by yourself for ARM.

(Maybe i have some time next week to try to compile)
