Ko/pi suite works great on my z5500 with hentges rom oz3.5.3!!  ... except for one thing ... it refuses to wake up for alarms.  What is wrong? apm and apmd ipkgs are installed by default.

Ideas? Thanks!

2.2.2

KO/Pi
*Changed due date of ToDo in Outlook-Sharp ToDo. However, KO/Pi sync with Sharp DTM does not reflect the change.

KA/Pi
*Birthday and Anniversary does not sync with Sharp DTM
*Some of the formatted name do not show up in the main window, although formatted name are correct in the detailed view. These only happens for the new contacts I added on after my initial sync and setting the formatted name.
** feature request: would like to see the a-z quick navigation tabs as in the Sharp Address book, which can be quickly browsed through via the  left-right button

Thanks

Formatted names should be set automatically from now on I think. Look at the complete  changelog and report back if it's not in there.
There is a way to quick-switch in kapi. I'm drunk and tired now, but I'll post tomorow if you haven't found it in the mean time.
As an aside, if you're going to put your comments on SF.net, do take the time to separate your issues into different entries so we can react accordingly to each of them

all:
i just received a c3100 from conics.  i am using the original sharp rom and successfully navigated the x/qt installation (not too difficult), as well as firefox 0.9-2 (as suggested http://www.users.on.net/%7Ehluc/myZaurus/ ).  openssl also installed easily.

i would like to use the kde-pim per http://www.pi-sync.net/ ; but, i the installer on the 3100 will not install the ipk files; regardless of order.  i do not get any error msgs having information  -- other than that i get a small msg box reporting that there were errors...

does anyone know where the error logs are??

alternatively, what newbie error am i making here?? are there other programs that need to be installed prior to the kde-pim files??

thanks in advance

There are none when using the GUI, I think.
Use the command line tool, as so:
ipkg -force-depends install /path/to/installationfiles/*ipk

And post the output if it bugs out

In other news, I've ran into the alarm-applet bug, so I'll work on reproducing it and hopefully fixing it.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=88317\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

It happened again the other day after more than a week without the problem.  I had the Z plugged in, but on at the time.  The rest of the week it was off, but plugged in, when the alarm triggered -- i think.
[div align=\"right\"][a href=\"index.php?act=findpost&pid=89236\"][{POST_SNAPBACK}][/a][/div]

Any progress made on isolating and fixing this bug?  I've just upgraded from 2.1.10-ish to the most recent build, and will try out the alarm applet again to see if i still get the same problems.  KO/Pi does seem a lot faster than before.  Or is that just in my head?

Nope, no doubt about it: this thing just flies now.  Kudos on the optimizations.

There's been quite a lot of work from Z before 2.2.

I'm trying to sync KO/PI on a C3000 with KO/PI on installed on a Windows XP desktop. I'm using Ko/PI 2.2.0 but have been unable to get them to sync successfully. If I download the .ics file to the C3000 then I can load that calendar with no problems. I'm currently running Cacko 1.2.3 Beta on the C3000.
Here's what happens:

Select synchronize Desktop on the C3000. A window pops up on the desktop indicating a sync is in progress.
On the C3000 a window pops up first saying connecting to remote, then saying downloading sync file (with a progress bar)
After the file is downloaded a window is displayed to select sync preferences. Once I select "Newest entry" everything comes to an abrupt halt and in the KO/PI banner on the C3000 is a message "Syncing Failed"

I first thought this was due to space so I reinstalled with the /kdepim directories on /hdd3/zaurushome. I also increase the size of /tmp to 4m from 1m but still the same response. I do notice that a tempsynccal.ics file appears in /tmp but something is prevent successful sync. I've been unable to find any log or messages that would indicate the reason.

Anyone with a similar problem or a possible solution? From what I read it appears that many just copy the .ics file from one platform to the next. Is this because there are issues with getting these different systems to sync?

Thanks,
rgrich

Since there seem to be a number of interested people, I've created an ipk of the latest kdepimpi.  This is for PdaXrom only - it's built for RC11 but I'm if/how it'll work on earlier versions.

i installed this on  6000L running pdaXrom rc 11 with xfce. there certainly seems to be an improvement in getting kapi up but when i try to import contacts it tells me that "no resources are available" and i cant add any resources from 'settings-configure resources' menu.

when starting it from command line i get messages that the following libraries are not found:

libmicrokabc_qtopia.so
libmicrokabc_sharpdtm.so
libmicrokabc_file.so
libmicrokabc_dir.so

where do i get these from?

thanks a lot.

cheers
