Trouble With Bitbake Options

I am just experimenting with OE and get the following errors:

sean@ubuntu:/oe/org.openembedded.dev$ bitbake less nano
NOTE: Using cache in '/home/oe/org.openembedded.dev/tmp/cache'

Then if I use the -b option I get this error:

Not clear on what I am doing wrong.

Does your local.conf exist /oe/build/conf/ ?
