Will the USB charge the battery when plugged in or do I always need the DC In plugged in?
I am wondering if I can use my Motorola Razr 12 Volt car charger to charge and operate the AV500. Thanks, Tim |

As far as my experiences have turned out, the USB connection does NOT charge the Archos Unit. You still require the AC adapter in order to charge.
If you want to charge it in your car, you can buy an inexpensive power inverter that plugs into your 12V connection in your car and gives you a standard 3 prong plug. |

There are also USB charging cables available for the Archos. I bought one on eBay a few months ago and it works well |
