' sorry something went wrong" IMO the chances are that the install did not succeed in the early stages: the archive could not be extracted or there was not enough space on disk. Check you have enough storage space, re-download the ipk and install from the command line. |

Further to xamindar's reply
Try CODE ipkg --help for comprehensive help. Then, after installation of the SD driver you should be able to run CODE ipkg status zaurus-sd-driver-update

it doesnt know where the file is located. you need to specify the whole path if the file is not in the same directory. For example:
CODE ipkg install /home/zaurus/Documents/Install\ Files/zaurus-sd-driver-update_2.1-for-Cxx0_arm.ipk You might want to read up on Linux cli usage. As you type the folder names you can try hitting the TAB key and it will autocomplete the names. |

Configuring zaurus-sd-driver-update...MD5 check error. //usr/lib/ipkg/info/zaurus-sd-driver-update.preinst failed. Aborting installation of zaurus-sd-driver-update # keef |

Looks like the file you downloaded was corrupted. Try redownloading it.

No, that's the message when the installed SD module isn't the one the package needs.

Keef, what Zaurus do you have? The package you are trying to install is for C860 or C760.

Keef, what Zaurus do you have? The package you are trying to install is for C860 or C760. Hi, My Zaurus is a C860 running Cacko. I have tried downloading and reinstalling several times. ` I have also tried downloading to a separate machine and copying across always with the same result. I have even tried installing the different model specific versions and the <4gb version without any luck. Thanks |

It looks like the SD module Cacko uses for the cxx0s is not the same as the original Sharp ROM. The needed module is /lib/modules/2.4.18-rmk7-pxa3-embedix/kernel/drivers/block/sharp_mmcsd_m.o with an md5sum of b6a026d0e0eaba101a3746bc0555cdf5.

Just as I was going to bed! Now I must install this driver and replace my 4gb sd with the 16gb sdhc.
![]() So I need to uninstall the tetsu driver? EDIT: It turned out easier than I thought. Ran the ipk file from konsole. No errors. Rebooted, 16gb sdhc detected and running. It has a super long stream of crazy debug msg at boottime. Otherwise, running 5 by 5. ![]() Edit: Oh and, that will be one more reason for me to let my akita stay on Cacko and not zubuntu. I'm just lazy ... ![]() |

The original Sharp ROM obviously. As far as I know, there is no archive that contains all files, but maybe someone can upload the original module here (if the new driver is installed, there's a backup copy in /opt/QtPalmtop/share/sdhc-driver/). Otherwise you need to do the backup - reflash - grab module - restore cycle.
