 Qtopia Uninstall problem? |

Ok my saga goes on. Have the Zaurus running ROM 3.10 now, but when I am trying to upgrade to version 3 PC software keeps telling me that I need to uninstall the Qtopia Desktop. How do I get this done. I have watched it go throught its uninstall porcess 3+ times now. It's not showing up in the windows Add and Remove programs anymore. I have hacked the registry for Qtopia, Sharp, and Zaurus. I have rebooted no luck :cry: .

if you run into this issue, you are basically going to have to reinstall your computers OS BIG SUCK!

Ok, I had a problem with the upgrade as well. This fixed my issue:
Plug in your Z and make sure it is on Go to the Device Manager and look under network adapters Remove the SL Series (NDIS 5) driver Disconnect you Z and reboot Try installing Qtopia again This worked for me. Let me know how it goes and good luck! (I hope you didn't already reinstall your OS. I didn't see your first message last week. Sorry!) |

I did that exactly three times and same thing over and over called sharp and they said a product specialist would call me back in 24 hours. Still waiting for the called back from opening the ticket with them on June 5. I did do a OS reinstall already and my problem is now resolved. Thanks for taking time to reply maybe it will save someone else from the nightmare that I went through.
