Sorry for this unproductive thread - but I just have to share my excitement with you: I'm using the C860 with the small battery now, when I'm not using the wlan or listening to music - and I just cant stop congratulating myself to this purchase ;-)
The C860 just looks amazing all in all silver! It is soo thin, so much more refined: so sleek it looks just like what it is: a highend piece of hardware! The touch is now very metallic, there is nothing cheap or rugged about it anymore. I just love it! (Even more than I did before.) Btw: you can change the batteries without having to reboot the Z, when it is plugged to an external power source during the swapping process! cheers, Kathrin |

Kathrin -
You might also want to look into the Digipower DPS-9000 external battery pack, particularly since you say that you have the smaller battery in your Z. I originally bought mine for my Olympus digital camera. But noticed a web page where the author used his with a 5x00 Zaurus. The DP-5v step down connector cable (included with the DPS-9000 that I bought) is used for Fuji cameras, which can't take the full 7.2v of the power pack, and works like a charm with my C860. The DPS-9000 is 1800 mAh lithium ion, memory free, tripod mountable and has a set of 5 leds as a great "fuel gague". I have a belt pouch for mine. The AC charger is universal & a 12v DC charger was included with my unit. Of course, if you are near an AC outlet, its easier to just plug in a wallwart but when out & about, the external pack greatly extends the operating time of a Z. Saved my bacon a couple times! <G> Bob W Miami FL |

Hi Bob,
Thanks! This is a great battery pack! Looks rather small :-) I also have one (just in case): the Samsung Digimax Battery Pack. It's quite expensive, but I can use it with my camera as well, so this is quite handy... Kathrin |

Kathrin LOL One of the things that I like about Z people is their creativity <g>. And we think a lot alike, as well. Best Bob W Miami FL |
