Just bought my new CL3000. I have not gotten very far, simply to the second screen with an image in the top middle that looks like a Q (or a T sticking thru an O). I cannot read Japanese very well, but I believe it is telling me to touch the cross with the pen. I do this and cross merely moves around the corners of the screen. How do I get past this screen? Or do I have to wait until the battery is fully charged? How long should this take.

It's probably trying to get you to configure the screen, so should go away after you've hit the cross a few times, in each corner of the screen and the centre.
