I down loaded qtopia-2.1.2-6000-beta-rom.zip for the Zaurus 6000 and unzipped it.

Is it now possible for me to mount initrd.bin contained in the zip file on my x86 running Suse 10. I've installed mkfs.jffs2 on this system.

Any hints appreciated.

There are so many forumns on this website, and really there are not that many new posts. WOuld it not be easier to use if the nuber of forums were consolodated. Perhaps something like:

software issues:
hardware issues:

This is what I like about Sharp's forums, as it is very easy to browse the comments of the last few days, as the number of forums are rather limited.

Anybody interested in doing a poll on this topic

I have an application that opens a TCP/IP socket. If the Zaurus 6000L gets turned off while the application is up and the socket is connected problems arise when the Zaurus is turned back on.

What happens is the original app that had the socket connection is displayed but the Zaurus is dead to any user input, screen taps, etc. The only thing I can do is hit the reset button.

While the OS should not do this, I think I could get around this if I can figure out how to get a close event and shutdown the socket before the Zaurus turns off.
Any ideas on how to do this.

Thanks for any help here
