After 6months of Zaurus bliss I've decided to sell my SL-C3000 as I really don't use it much enough to justify the price! I only use it as an incredibly expensive MP3 player, bit of a waste really!
Its in perfect condition, with a working AmbiCom 802.11b Wireless CF Card, Kingston 256MB SD Card, PD Air Leather Case, Mini-USB Adaptor and necessary Japanese to UK Mains adaptors. If your interested please take a look at my auction at: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=5811221404 Thanks all, Russell ![]()

Hi all,
I have only just noticed, but for some reason Kino2 version 0.4.2 on my SLC3k running Cacko beta1, will not save changes made to the preferences. Everytime I make any change to the preferences, then click ok, then open the preferences again the changes I just made have been lost. I know this never used to happen so something has altered Kino2's capacity to save the preferences. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem, or know of a possible solution? Where does Kino2 store the preferences? Thanks in advance! Russell ![]()

![]() I've got a couple of quick questions, firstly what is the root password for the Cacko ROM installation? I'm trying to set up my WiFi card and the standard user doesn't have the adequate privelidges to use iwconfig. Secondly, I had previously designed my own startup logo, which I have re-installed, however it has rotated 90-degrees counterclockwise and is distorted at the top and bottom. Does the Cacko ROM change the format required for the startup logo at all? Any ideas? Otherwise the Cacko ROM looks great and gives the SL-C3k the GUI it deserves! Good job everybody involved! Hi all,
I don't know if anyone has noticed but a new kernel is available from the Tetsu website: http://tetsu.homelinux.org/zaurus/kernel/ Although the English part of the page hadn't been updated when I looked, the links to the new Kernels from the Japanese page are available: SL-C3000 special kernel (v17i): http://tetsu.homelinux.org/zaurus/kernel/v...-v17i-C3000.bin SL-C1000 special kernel (v18): http://tetsu.homelinux.org/zaurus/kernel/v...e-v18-C1000.bin Has anyone used these yet? Noticed any differences, improvements? Russell ![]()

I've been experiencing problems, like so many other users it seems!, with the Symbol Spectrum CF WLAN Card, the card can connect but then nothing else actually works.
Neither NetFront or Opera work and I've triend Ping to test some destinations on the internal (LAN) and external (WAN) networks, none of which work. Oddly, however the Zaurus cannot ping the Cisco router which assigned it its network configuration over DHCP in the first place! I've attempted configuring the network for DHCP and non-DHCP operation, neither working; although the Cisco router maintains connectivity to the Symbol's MAC address, so it knows its there! I must be missing something really simple, but I'm just spending my time checking and re-configuring iwconfig and ifconfig to no avail. Any help would be great! Russell |
