I am using a Skullcandy bluetooth headset with volume and play/pause control.
I seem to find that if the Gemini is closed and has been for a while, the controls do not respond, even though sound continues to play.
If I open the Gemini, the controls will respond and continue to respond for a while, even after closing the Gemini again.
The audio continues to work, even after long periods, it's only the controls that seem to stop working until the Gemini is 'prodded'.

Is this something others are experiencing?

I have the same problem. With my Gemini closed, Bluetooth audio controls don't work. I'm using a Bluetooth to aux dongle in my car.

Same here - next song and play/pause doesn't work when closed.

I have had similar issues with Android smartphones where BT fwd/rev stops working but audio keeps playing. I wonder if it's an Android sleep issue.

If I close the Gemini, the controls stop working.
I suspect, as another poster suggested, something to do with sleep?

I used some wired earbuds whilst I wait for my Bluetooth headset to charge and have found that the 'controls' don't work with wired headsets either if the Gemini is closed.
My audio continues to play just fine, I have to open the Gemini before the controls work.

Is there some power saving mode that kicks in after the screen is closed?
However, if that was the case then I'd expect streaming to stop.
