I figured I would post these disassembly steps for anyone else who needs to replace a cracked screen sad.gif

Read entire post before attempting on a real unit *** NOT COMPLETE YET ***

The only other info I found was in Japanese.

Remove the small plugs that cover the screws.
There are two sizes, the ones over Big(2) have a "3" in them, see a picture in my other post.

The two big ones are feet, not screw covers.

If you are only replacing the battery or LCD you only need to remove the Big (2) and Long (2) screws.

The screw heads are very small, Phillips size 00 (PH00)

Remove the Battery Cover, lift from the top.

This will expose the battery, which can come out of the channel, but is attached with a group of wires.

Since my battery is fine, I did not look for a connector or open the covering.
(Call me chicken, but I have enough problems right now)

To open the upper case there are two screws at the bottom next to the hinge/battery cover.

To be able to reach them with a screwdriver, close the lid most of the way, with the battery hanging down.

Here you can see the Strange screw head, along with the wires to the battery.

At this point I am stuck, until I find the proper screwdriver for this. ohmy.gif

Ok Wikipeadia says it is a Tri-Wing or Triangular Slotted blade.. But as with the PH00 is it SMALL
I found a small screwdriver set on ebay where they call it a Y Screwdriver. They mention other electronics,
like GBA etc.

We'll see if it fits when I get them...

I will update this when I learn more...
