I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to synchronize email from a linux machine to the opie mail application? I don't really care what is used for an email client. Is there a way to synchronize with an mbox file for instance? Just wondering what everyone else does.

If there isn't something already out there, is the opie synchronization procedure on the protocol level pretty straightforward to develop with?

Thanks.

Hello,

I am rather new at using shell scripts, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me what I am doing wrong here. This is the simple script I put in a file called guitest.sh. I execute it from the working directory /root/Documents with: sh guitest.sh

However I get a "java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: ZGUI" error back from evm. I can execute the command with the whole classpath stuff in there directly from bash without a problem, but when I throw it in a script I get this error. I am getting into using the Zaval light weight gui components and I wanted to make a script so I wouldn't have to type the classpath stuff in every time I opened up the shell. Thanks.

Note that the "evm -cp ... ZGUI" is on one line but it seems phpBB won't display it that way.
CODE
#!/bin/bash

echo "Starting Java GUI Test..."

evm -cp .:/mnt/card/root/Documents/:/root/Documents/lw.jar:/mnt/card/opt/QtPalmtop/lib/awt.jar:/mnt/card/opt/QtPalmtop/lib/core.jar:/root/Documents/lwtext.jar ZGUI

exit 0

Hi,

I am throwing together a new computer to experiement with/learn about OpenEmbedded and general Zaurus software development. Do you have any recommendations for a Linux distro to work with? From what I've read, OE will work with any Linux distro, but I'd like to see what everyone else has found to be a good fit. I'd really like to take the plunge. Thanks and take care.

Hello Everyone,

I ran into a problem today after getting OZ 3.3.6 up and running today on my collie. opie-mail3 seems to function great while gaim is installed (using the compatlibs). In order to receive messages from other users using the oscar protocol, one must install gconv-modules or gconv-tiny. I installed gconv-tiny. You then have to make symlink using:
ln -s /usr/lib/gconv /lib/gconv
to get things working. It is precisely after making the symlink that when I try to view mail messages in opie-mail3 I get a sigsegv.

Anyway ideas on how I can troubleshoot this? Thanks.

Hi Everyone,

I have a fingerprint scanner that i use to log into my Windows XP Pro machine. I would like to use Remote Desktop to access my desktop, however, the software that controls the fingerprint scanner doesn't move to the username/password when conencting from a RD client (it would normally go past the CTRL-ALT-DEL screen to the login prompt). I found that by messing around with a remote desktop client on another desktop, that i can send a CTRL-ALT-END in place of CTRL-ALT-DEL and it will be interpreted correctly.

I am using Qtrdesktop to connect to my desktop from my SL-5000D, OZ 3.3.5. Is there a way with the keypad, multikey, or anyother input that could effectively send a CTRL-ALT-END, or would that have to incorporated in the client itself. If I couldn't modify the client, would it be hard to make my own input method that just sends CTRL-ALT-END?

Just to note, I also run VNC, but I cannot enter my password at the prompt for whatever reason when remotely connecting... it might be a related issue. Anyway, sorry for the long wind. Thanks.

~Andy
