I posted the details of this rootfs which is simple howto.

Add: May 29 2008

I built new rootfs based on lxp-icewm for Korean users, but I think it is usable for everybody. The tarball size is ~200MB and unziped file size is ~500MB. I don't have enough space to upload it. If somebody are interested in this distribution and can afford to host it, please tell me.

- name: Andromeda
- easy installation script for Cxx00 on SD or HDD.
- X-window fully set up (xfbdev)
- lxp-icewm, which is a fork of icewm, with a large number of the patches.
- background auto changing when zaurus is swiveled.
- Fn+click = mouse middle click, Shift+click = mouse right click
- Dual boot environment
- Multimedia (mplayer, mpd+gmpc+ncmpc, streo output)
- auto (un)mount of the removable disk using autofs module.
- short keyes to control sound volume, brightness, fullscreen, maximize, minimize, screencapture.
- pre-installed wpasupplican , wireless-tools

- file manager: rox
- text editor: leafpad
- text reader: justreader
- dictionary: zbedic, stardict
- multimedia: mplayer, mpd (+ncmpc+gmpc)
- browsers: dillo, icehamster
- pims: osmo
- note-taking: xounal
- graphic: gpicview
- game: sudoku
- etc: mc, ecalc, etimedate, sakura, xvkbd, feh, and so on

I built the LXDE which consists of pcmanfm, lxsession, lxpanel, gpicview, and lxde.

LXDE is a new project aimed to provide a new desktop environment which is lightweight and fast. It's not designed to be powerful and bloated, but to be usable and slim enough, and keep the resource usage low. Different from other desktop environments, we don't tightly integrate every component. Instead, we tried to make all components independent, and each of them can be used independently with few dependencies.

FIXED This kernel has a resume problem. Dont use it. Sorry for it.

I built the kernel 2.6.24 for eabi debian on Z. These are patched with angstrom patches and without cpufreq. I tested only on C3200. Tests on C1000 or C3000 are required. Please give a feedback ASAP.

This kernel works on Cxx00 series.

- There are the kernels for sharp loader and for uboot.

- FUSE, serial_cs and ieee80211_crypt_tkip modules work.

Hi, I built kernel 2.6.24-rc7 for debain eabi. It works for my c3200. Maybe it works on c1000(???). Would someone test it on C1000?

Also I uploaded the patch file. Someone interested in rebuilding the kernel, can use it.

I tested the google android on my Z. It was successful and promising, but still has a long way to go. If anyone is interested in it, give a try. Now android works on C3100/3200.

The kernel and modules with android system were uploaded on the following place.

29 Nov 2007
I built new kernel with some patches:
  • patched with angstrom and cpufreq
  • Patch the frequency scaling bug - touchscreen freezing
  • Add FUSE module
  • Add ip_tables related modules
  • AirGate2000C Wireless support
This kernel works for C3100 and C3200 using uboot.

I want to build the kernel without uboot for C3000. Can someone tell me how to make the kernel of zImage.bin like angstrom. I built zImage and changed the file name to zImage.bin. Then I tried to install it but it failed. dry.gif
